It’s the best of both worlds… The classic eye mixed with that iconic deep blue that so many will have associated with BB from the BB05 - 07 era.

I think it’s pretty clear this is going to be a back to basics series so it will be interesting to see whether the direction they go with also reflects a melding of the two classic eras or whether they’ll go all in for one over the other…

I wouldn't read much into the time given but agree needs to be at least a month earlier. BBUK shows 6 weeks is too short - I think they could just about get away with 8 but 10-12 would be ideal.

My gut feeling is it'll be scheduled for 8 weeks initially but with the possibility of an extension to 10 weeks if it starts strongly, giving them an excuse to chuck in some intruders.
 
This says to me that Channel ten realises that the traditional rating season on tv no longer applies when you want to do a program that includes 24/7 live streaming.

Seeing them spend the holidays in the house is something new and I think would be really interesting. There can be tasks around it, there will be dicussions, emotions, celebrations etc. The weather will be warm so hopefully they will have a pool.

If you're right it would be a pretty groundbreaking decision. At least we wouldn't have to suffer another naff "Christmas in July" event. Could have a real Christmas task where they win "presents" which could be good or bad. Or maybe it'll depend on whether they've been naughty or nice in some task testing them, leading up to it.

I'd actually welcome something to watch over the silly season and I'm pretty sure I'm not alone. It'll be pretty sad if it's only a five week season.

When they do the casting call the availability date range should help clarify things.
 
Oh this is not good news IMO. Even if its going to air over christmas/new years there is only room for 8 weeks max until I'm a Celeb starts 2 months later. IDK I just doubt that its going to run that long, I fear we are seeing a 6 week season. This makes me real sad.

I wonder if there was some delay caused by the holdback? I hope this is a move either made by TEN through no other choice or if anything a way to ensure as many eyeballs are on Big Brother with no competition and the 2026 season is longer. I really don't like this news though, at least its happening this year I guess.

Mel says here that they don’t know any of the details yet. While they might have a rough idea of when they’d like to launch the show I’m doubtful they have a date picked just yet or at very least not one that they’d be announcing down to the second.
