why do they cook tea so early its only 5.30pm here in tasmania so 4.30pm qld time
I think it's probably that they were used to cooking for a lot of people, so it took longer but now it's just a routine to cook it now.
8 times out of 10 it is because they have been told to do it as they have something on, in this case a live show. They also go by hunger not by time plus boredom

That’s what I was referring to. For some reason people seem to think we’re getting a live interview and Mel tonight. We’re likely not. It’s a normal Daily Show with a backdoor added in, like BBUK.
