This kinda thing comes up every time there is a relationship in the house. If you haven’t lived there yourself I reckon it would be hard to understand how heightened emotions and the whole experience would lead you to making (romantic) decisions that you wouldn’t normally make in other situations.
So the fact that she’s setting the expectation that she wants to give it a go but can’t guarantee anything outside of the hour seems like a healthy boundary to me.

I agree plus the tension and awkwardness inside the house while broken up would be near impossible to deal with. He’s way too immature and childish for that to be addressed in that house in a healthy way. They’re both toxic so may as well end the same way you came in
