I disagree with this. Some people do it for the experience. Some people do it for the prize. Some people do it for the exposure. Not caring about winning the prize money?? People don’t go on these shows for the funsies. The goal is to win the end prize otherwise why waste their time?

BB may have gave them the info to read out. Or he's just making it up.How do they know the UV? Is there like a smart temperature gage or something?
And for those people, the experience is what they get out of it...People don’t do things without getting something out of it.
If they still use this makeshift temp house in the warehouse for next season, I would be so pissedHopefully they renovate the house for next season and the first thing they do is make the walls higher.
And for those people, the experience is what they get out of it...
It's old school BB at its best. We're getting actual conversations!I love this task, it makes me so angry that this season is almost over because it honestly could have gotten a lot better with more time
Disagree. This is a really narrow minded view, @Affable.I’d say the ones doing it “for the experience” are the fake ones there. Most of those saying that they are there for the experience are probably just too afraid to say they are there for the money as it makes them look bad in the voters eyes. People don’t do things without getting something out of it.
agree 100%Disagree. This is a really narrow minded view, @Affable.
Some of us are actually fascinated by the genuine social experiment aspect of the show - all the psychological elements of BBAU from 2001-2008 appeal to me (and evidently a few others above) more than absolutely anything else. I would do something like Big Brother in a heartbeat - like @up_all_night, if it was not filmed and especially not in a 2020s world - but only the day-to-day living, tasks and social aspect. I’d love to be there til the end to experience the whole thing but winning the prize money would be the least of my concerns.
Only very few people in but the world get to experience Big Brother (the true Big Brother experience, not Seven’s or anything manufactured) and it would be a dream to do that version. Not for the money at all. You may think it sounds cliche or “fake”, but the experience from the psychology and societal side is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity that only this show can provide.
That’s what I’ll add… @Affable is right about one thing: people don’t do things without getting something out of it. Except that thing doesn’t have to be money like is being implied.the experience itself looks like it would be really fun and you'd learn so much about yourself through it.
I've always said I'd decline money if it meant I'd had to leave. For the first few weeks at least. If I got offered a large sum of cash towards the end I'd probably leave with the money, I don't even blame Vinny for taking 10K as I'd do the same since he didn't have to quit. IDK I just love the whole never-ending mega sleepover vibe it has just seems fun to me. I liken it to a sort of emotional/spiritual/social adventure. That’s what I’ll add… @Affable is right about one thing: people don’t do things without getting something out of it. Given a choice I'd like to be in BB1 - BB3. The other seasons, not so much, especially with the straight boys' clubs, bullying, etc. If they could cast and run the format like those first seasons again it would be a lot of fun.agree 100%
If it wasn't on TV I'd do it in a heartbeat. The prize money/opportunities as well as the personal ego boost would be nice to get from winning, but the experience itself looks like it would be really fun and you'd learn so much about yourself through it.
