Ed treated Mia as consistently as he did everyone else in that house despite her behaviour.

Mia was relentless in pursuing something that he shut down on day 2, and had to shut down again multiple times. There were no mixed signals. She took every opportunity to bring it up and make him uncomfortable. If the genders were swapped, Mia would have been vilified. Sick, toxic behaviour on her part.
