Episode Day 9 Daily Show and Nominations - 17/11/2025

i think they’ve made the right call not using a couch on stage, for the stage their using, i think it’d look abit awkward and out of place, couldn’t imagine a couch on there. although if there was ever a time for a stool come back, i think they’d work on this stage.

good to have michael back today, but would’ve been good to have him on a bit longer. having him stay for the mid point of nominations and giving his opinion and commentary would’ve been good, even just to make his appearance more worthwhile.

only watched the eviction ep a few hours ago and didn’t get to comment, but i think they made the right call having shorter eviction interviews. i don’t think i could sit through 20-30 minute interviews like former. although i think it definitely needed a voting graph and some video packages (noms, major feuds etc.), and was a bit too short, 10-15 mins is enough imo.

i also think they should’ve let michael on stage before the ad break and come out and have a moment, pictures whatever, and then go to an ad break to return to the eviction interview. as i think when he came out it felt abit sloppy and should’ve been a bigger deal. maybe would’ve even been good throughout the show to interview evictees in the DR like they used to, just to utilise mel and the stage abit more for a live eviction show.
 
Are there going to be intruders this year? I just want someone, anyone, to come in and upset the current status quo. A handsome, maybe rich, accomplished, elegant man who will attract Holly's full attention would be good. Baby Colin would lose his mind and show the dodos watching who think he's this sweet innocent guy his true colours...

I think they should put someone like Holly in who is more successful, more attractive to the boys, and just an overall better person, she would go nuts with jealousy lol

I'm one of the 3 straight men who watch this show so....yes. That little shufffle when she comes out to start the hosting is adorable.

I hate that Michael was right about Alanna being up. There's a pretty decent section of the audience who are going to save Jane just because she's not Mia or Alanna so definitely Mia is the one that the 'left wing' communities as Michael would say have to try and save.

What's the bet that next week when Colin is already up suddenly the HOH power will be compulsary to be used?

Pretty shocked that Connor didn't get a single point.

I thought the show was starting to via into Australian Survivor territory with that overbearing edit of Holly tonight. Doesn't seem like we are getting any content at all on Sunday till after the eviction, so basically the whole weekend live stream is a waste of time till Sunday night given they can't discuss anything interesting.

Well that was a chore and a half… I feel like I’m hate watching now.

Due to some issues with the 10 app I skipped part of the episode. Did we get an explanation for Michael choosing Holly for HoH or is it a mystery? As WTF is with his love for Mia? Feels like he was advised of the selective editing and is trying to rewrite history.

The golden boy edit is insufferable. Hopefully his inevitable bad behaviour post series comes back to bite them in the ass to the point where they can’t have him back.

Don’t mind the HoH twist but the nomination power is crap. It’s too easy to take the route of least resistance and leave nominations the same. Save and Replace would have been a much better option with Holly getting the 4th spot along side the 3 nominees would have worked better.

Saw on Twitter that BB reprimanded HM’s for being unprepared and for leaving the couches during Nominations. The way the show was edited pretty much makes showing any of it impossible… Why bother if you aren’t going to show it?

Lastly the bitching on the forums from people bitching about people bitching is getting ridiculous… The forums are not a love fest Dissecting the show in detail is what we do here. If you only want to hear positive opinions maybe stick to the official IG comments.

I don’t think any of us expected to see a carbon copy of the 2000’s series or that this series would be perfect, however the expectation that was set by the pre-series marketing was that we’d see a series that would share the same DNA as its source material. You may have a point about falling for the hype but why wouldn’t we? The roadmap that was provided seemed logical? We spent months reliving the nostalgia of the original run and has been told throughout the rewatch that production was also rewatching those series. They gave us every reason to believe they were being honest about their approach… If you can’t see why we’d be upset with the bait and switch it seems your comments are more about trolling than anything else.

As for whether bitching about the visuals or backing track… Visual presentation has always been a part of the shows appeal. Perhaps if it was the only issue many of us had with the show it wouldn’t be such an issue but it’s just one of many “make it make sense” points of contention. You not caring that much about the show is irrelevant… Don’t like it? Perhaps this isn’t the place for you.
