BB 2025 season ratings thread

Total ratings are obviously nice to have and gives bragging rights, but can be misleading when the demo skews. The advertiser 25–54 demo is most coveted, with the secondary 16–39 numbers good but pay less. BB was ranked #1 & #2 in both last night which is impressive. However I’m not sure why they’ve scheduled a Friday show, given it’s typically a dead night outside of Saturday.

It is but on Fridays 10 typically doesn't get more than 200-300k for any of their shows.

So even if BB gets around 400k and is high in the main advertiser demos again, that is a win for them.

Big Brother Wins The Younger Vote.

#1 In 25 To 54s & 16 To 39s.

Big Brother
is proving popular among younger demographics with consecutive nights as #1 in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s and achieving dominating shares in its timeslot. This season is currently up 142% vs. 2023, and has captured the streaming attention of Australia with well over 81 million minutes viewed since its launch on Sunday.

The first nominations for eviction are revealed to the housemates – Holly, Michael and Jane. Cast your vote here.

  • #1 show in 25 to 54s and 16 to 39s.
  • #1 in its timeslot in 25 to 54s (36.7%) and 16 to 39s (47.0%)!
  • Reached 1.05 million total national viewers.
Series to-date:

  • Reaching 3.2 million total viewers.
  • Up 142% vs. 2023 season average.
  • 81.7 million minutes viewed on 10 streaming.
  • Live streaming audience (82,000) up 312% vs. 2023.
  • Biggest ever live stream audiences for an entertainment show on 10.
  • Big Brother Live 24/7 is the biggest exclusive channel ever launched on 10 Streaming.

That 16-39 % is particularly impressive, 10 hasn't had a show that has engaged younger viewers like this for years.

It’s actually really great seeing how much Gen Z is connecting with this Big Brother. The amount of content I see on TikTok about daily updates, reacting and commenting on what’s happening in the house is way more than I expected pre-season. The livestream on TikTok is the best thing that’s happen to this revival for hooking in that younger demographic and they need to keep it running there cause barely any of those casual viewers will jump over to Ten streaming.

That was a desperately needed thing imo. Now Australia has that up on the U.S. and UK version especially.
Plus, it stamps out the inevitable piracy and resorting to downloading the eps, while also giving Endemol/Ten/whoever some extra revenue at the same time.

They’ve gotten a lot right in terms of their marketing and outreach this year. In fact, I’d almost say that side of things has been near perfect.

im shocked at how big of a hit it is with younger audiences. maybe streaming numbers will be pretty big.
My tiktok fyp is flooded with young people watching it. The big brother formula is kind of timeless in a way, humans can interact with it and relate to a degree.

Kids are brain rotting anyway so they as well be brain rotting with big brother.
