Rate Mel Tracinas performance so far

I would give her a solid 8 she's trying even though you can tell she's a bit nervous. But in fairness to her its her first major big gig on TV and she's still handled herself very well. I love how she's able to shake off an awkward moment with a joke or just her positive demeanour. The Nominations show will show her off a bit more but the first eviction interview is where her next big spotlight moment is.

Let's all just keep in mind the 2001 version of Gretel was very subdued and she didn't get cunty until around 2003.

9/10! I'd hope the subtle digs of there being no roof are actually being listened to from higher up, and they realise how fucking stupid it is to have an uncovered TV set. Might even block some of the park noise, too.
I'm going to once again be delusional and believe that the holdback caused headache upon headache and it was so delayed that they were stretched for time and had to whip up a quick and cheap Big Brother set to be ready for launch. I am praying that if TEN is happy with the ratings the budget can allow for some more permanent setups next year. I will however be humbly proven wrong if this is simply it lmao.

But back to topic at least Mel made light of the situation. I feel like Sonia never made reference to anything even if it was just tongue in cheek.

I'm equally delusional and I refuse to give up hope that it will play out this way.

i think she’s been doing great. she’s definitely making the role her own and not trying to mimick anyone. i’m loving the subtle shade and quirky moments. some awkward moments but i’m sure she’ll find her feet as the series goes on.

i also love how she doesn’t give off snobby presenter vibes and more just gives off girl next door/fan commentator.

I like that about her too, she comes across like she's just happy to be there and she genuinely cares as well. Given its been said Ten have signed a three year deal she has plenty of room to get past any awkwardness or growing pains she may experience. I am excited to see her in the eviction interview.

My only worry is she the first host for BBAU that comes from a mostly comedy background so IDK how well that may translate to a serious eviction interview, but I am going in with an open mind and optimism.

I have to agree with this, idk if I could see her asking a housemate about the deep stuff... yet! Would love to be proven wrong

I hate that she's constantly switching from looking directly at the camera to looking around at the audience. Its annoying.

I think she's doing a great job, but is being let down by production. It's like nobody left at 10 remembers how to produce live TV anymore.
Ch 9 and 7 are producing live sports all the time. Ch 10 just seems less capable of anything,

I would rate Mel Tracina a solid 8/10. She just has a way about her that's suited to this, she's a generation away from earlier presenters.
