Tbh I think Mike's comment about tiktok being a sponsor was totally off the cuff and not true... Especially since they're only streaming for the first 3 days or so?

Yeah, I just saw that video! Sad there wasn't any BB merch last night, unless @jaydee do you remember Mike having any? He had lots of Dreamworld freebies, like tickets (as well as tickets to the eviction show), plush toys, and he had glow sticks.

I’m pretty sure there was no big brother merch just dreamworld merch. Maybe that will come soon since they used to have heaps of merch at dreamworld.

The tiktok thing is annoying to me as I've never had nor used tiktok and don't really want to and the fact the first 3 days of streaming may be exclusinve to it is extremely frustrating.

I would imagine the tiktok streaming is a gimmick and it will still be available on 10 play. I don’t use TikTok either and will be disappointed if that’s the case.

Agreed about tiktok, im too old for that 🤣 I don't think it's exclusive to tiktok though, just a ploy to bring in younger views is my guess.
 
I am hoping they’re streaming it on the 10 website as well, not a huge fan of the idea of live streaming only available in a vertical video format.

It absolutely is - I thought that’s what they implied?

What I took from it is that it’s being used as a marketing strategy to drive viewers from TikTok to the 10 website and the show by adding the app as a temporary streaming platform (in addition to the main site) to attract interest and hopefully long-term viewers who might otherwise not know about it. Live streaming is huge on TikTok and, from what I understand, you don’t need to follow an account to watch a live stream - it kind of just pops up in the feed, so it’s actually very very clever.

The 10 website is completely separate, and permanent for the entire season. Whereas TikTok is a temporary teaser to win people over.
 
Do we have an official list of the names who went in the house last night/ more details. Sounds like there were a bunch of people there from this forum last night but not much info on here

It will be streaming on both Tiktok and the 10 website and app

I'm not sure if this has already been mentioned but, what do we think are 10's viewer expectations for tonight to consider it a success?? Mainstream TV isn't really tuned into that much anymore, so what does that look like for 10 to go bigger and better for next year?

I think 10 would like tonight to land at least in the 700k area. I think 10 understands that the 7 era did some serious damage to the brand, so it’s going to take a bit to win the audience back. If it comes within striking distance of what Survivor does over the course of the season (for live shows), I think 10 would be thrilled with that outcome. Can’t expect big numbers on Friday shows, etc.
 
Does anyone else dislike the fact that they have the fixed cameras rather than the manned cameras behind the mirrors?
I understand why they do it these days but I really liked when there wasn't a camera in sight and they all knew that there were people hidden behind the walls 24/7.
Also what is up with the few mirrors they do have they look all distorted and plasticy.
