Looking

Nathan is 30 and Stuart is 15. So yes, it's completely wrong regardless of who was pursuing it. I say that now but probably didn't think so much about it back then. I was 18 pursuing a 27yo once. I cringe to even think about it. Eek.
You got them mixed up it’s Nathan who is 15 and Stuart was 29 when things started.

I’m not even going to talk about my experience…

Really need to rename this thread 🤣.

OMG what happened? 😬 I had such a crush on him at one point. He does have a point though about the DVD’s. The replacement music is GARBAGE.

OMG is he in a heavy metal band now???

I'm actually rewatching this atm, into S2 now.

QaF sex scenes were ON POINT.
While I'm rewatching this, in the room I'm staying in while my house is being renovated, I keep the door ajar for the dogs to come and go. Every so often my female neighbours will wander past and catch a glimpse of what looks like gay porn, but is just QAF.

He’s always been in a band as far as I know.

I’ve had the entire series downloaded for years now but I’m terrible at rewatches unless I sit and binge an entire season. I always forget where I left off and then never picked it up again.

A full unaltered release on a streaming service would be fantastic.

It’s shocking considering the series was co-produced by a Canadian company that we’ve never had even the shitty music version released here.

The unaltered version was on the Showcase website at one point but this was the early 2010’s. Netflix had just barely launched in Canada the industry here was extremely slow at adapting to streaming. Still are in many ways.

Anyways my point was that we’re actually approaching the 25th anniversary of the premiere in December so it’s kind of wild that for it being such an iconic series with the broad appeal it has that there doesn’t seem to be any plans to re-release it in it’s full glory.

OMG reminds me a bit of watching this on late night TV with minimal volume and my finger on the remote ready to change the channel should I hear the slightest bit of noise. That said it was all wroth it for the 2 to 3 minutes of softcore porn 🤣

Meanwhile I'm just acquiring Looking as for some reason I never watched it, so I have that to look forward to, but I'll leave it until I wrap up QAF though. Especially with BB dominating the schedule shortly.

I rewatched It's a Sin, Cucumber and Banana recently and they still stand up. If you didn't watch the latter two, give them another crack.

I’m starting to think this thread should be renamed to The LGBTQ+ TV Show Appreciation Thread at this point. 🤪
Maybe @Brekkie would be kind enough to arrange that.

Looking doesn’t have nearly the re-watchability as QAF.

IMO It’s a Sin is was an instant classic so no shock there just not sure I’ll ever be ready for a full rewatch.

I think I might have tried Cucumber and Banana at one point but it wasn’t hitting for me. Maybe I’ll give it another shot.

I vote we rename the thread Gay Shows after the segment on The Soup.
