Rewatch Big Brother 2007 YouTube stream (10-12 Oct & 17-19 Oct)

Hello. I am new here.. just wondering what this chat is that is being referenced on here with past Bb contestants and where can I find it? Thank you

Just remembered I have the full unedited live stream cap of the BIG blow-up that happens between Bodie and Hayley/Andrew on Day 12 somewhere.

I don’t think the Daily Show did it justice with just how huge of an argument it was. In fact, if you watch carefully, there are some very questionable cuts and inconsistent continuity edits during the Daily Show version. It was (badly) pieced together for primetime.
Can you post it on Google Drive so we can see?

Hmm? As timmy said, the ex housemates occasionally join the chat on the BBAU YouTube live streams for their respective seasons. They aren’t posting on BBBA - at least I’m not aware of it.

What’s the opinions like over there? I only dipped in to the chat for 05/06
They mostly don’t like/remember the season, think Jamie is the bees knees and pile on the hate towards Emma. The latter is ironic, given the general rule there that this was a moment in time and negativity towards housemates won’t be tolerated… except when the ex-HMs encourage it, it seems.

It has been interesting to have so many housemates constantly engaging with everyone though - I think there’s been at least two or three replying regularly since the stream started. But it’s also funny what having them in there does to the overall vibe…

I didn’t think my opinion of Jamie could get any lower. But somehow, after seeing his 200+ messages, I dislike him even more.

The 07 cast benefit from the series being considered unmemorable. There has been minimum focus on it in the years since, even Emma isn’t really talked about a lot. Probably why a lot of them are happy to join in the chat since there possibly hasn’t been as much direct scrutiny towards them as opposed to other series.

I feel like it’s a series that only gets praise by die hard super fans. It’s strange because Emma is in my mind one of the biggest villain housemates of all time. Maybe the biggest female villain ever! And Aleisha is such a strong winner and Zach is the first intruder to make it to the finale. There’s a lot to praise and remember, it just suffers from the time it aired.

Agree.

I’m really interested to know what the 2008 chat is going to be like.

I'm not a huge fan of Emma but I did point out on the chat that people should keep respectful about that as approx 20 years has passed since all these events and she isn't there to defend herself.

Personlly I enjoyed Jamie in the house, but that could be I never saw people like me ("nerds") on TV.
That is a bit different these days though at TV is more diverse.

I like the fact that any housemates go in there and talk on there. I agree that their insights are really interesting.
I hope Zack jumps online when he enters the house.

But can you not see, especially in hindsight, that he was not being genuine about it? And that he did what he did in attempt to win real people like yourself over? It’s his awful attempt at trying to play that stereotype is what gets me. It surprises me that so many people are convinced by it.

Gretel gets criticised so heavily for her treatment of him - and sure, she certainly had a way of speaking at times - but she saw it for what it was, and simply called him out on it. The signs were there right from the moment he walked onstage at Launch.

It was a (very bad) act that was beyond cringe. I’m all for HMs from this era attempting to go in with a game plan, but there is such a difference at “playing the game” between the execution of someone like Tim (both 2005 and 2013) and this season’s Jamie. Even Hayley/Andrew, for that matter.

I wish I’d screenshot the chat, but Jamie did say last night that his sole reason for going into the house was to accelerate a media career. He admitted the “nerd” character was played up way more than people think. He also said he did his best to keep his acting roles a secret before going into the house (which failed, as his cameos and appearances popped up online very quickly once the season started) and said his intention was to get a high-profile radio gig after the show… which he actually did. So that’s all that needs to be said.
