BBAU 2025 house in Dreamworld Exhibition Centre

I'd just like to see a normal BB house. I mean, they were always a bit quirky due to the fact it's a TV set, but something between BB1 and BB7 would suffice, maybe slightly higher than flat pack Ikea furniture, but less Liberace Palm Springs residence.
I’m of the belief that you can have a nice stylish looking house while still keeping things back to basics with little to no luxuries. I’ve said it time and time again but in 2025 the original “back to basics” core of BB is actually more relevant than it was in 2001. It’s really the angle that they need go with for this series over any other gimmick they can throw at it. Like someone said previously it’s the mundane and boring parts of the show that spawned the real entertainment not the twists.

I wish they would just re-create (as much as possible due to the new location) the original 2001 house. Yeah it was bland as fuck, but that was fine because the house doesn't need to be anything eye-catching. The HMs should be be the stars, not the house.

Yes to a point but I do think in the modern era the house needs to at least be visually appealing… Not saying people won’t watch because of it but the house reveal does help build excitement.

I mean I saw this coming. We copied Channel 5’s BB Revival back in 2012 and we’re doing the same for ITVs. The difference is it seems the thesis of what 10 is portraying is more grounded in the original concept compared to ITV never indicating that. But the house I always saw going in that direction. I didn’t mind the UK house the first time but after five seasons of basically fluro colours it’s getting boring.

Agree. If it’s just the house, and not the editing / cartoonish production, then I can be okay with that.

I mean as a big brother fan I’d obviously rather them go in a direction of a more modern 2005-2007 house. But I do wonder whether ITV style houses appeal to a more general viewing audience. I mean ITV houses shoot quite well on Instagram, and people are likely to share. Big brother in general, you’d be surprised how many people who don’t watch the show talk about the house. So I do wonder and think an ITV style house could potentially generate more buzz than a basic house.

But I mean as long as they stay true to roots in other areas, I could sacrifice the house.

This. I really want this new season to check all the boxes. As a BB fan, at least back in the day, I found the UK and Aus versions to be the best. The UK’s version is now much lower on the totem pole. As The Theorist said, the cartoonish editing (among other things) have ruined the show.

I’m still hoping for some Australian originality with this reboot. I will say I don’t understand why they’ve opted to borrow elements from the UK design when there’s 101 other ways to do it, but it’ll be easy to look past if they stick to their promise of going back to the OG format. I've personally found it distracting when hm's are living in a Disney attraction. I know it’s common for different Big Brothers to borrow and steal format ideas. My concern is if they’re already seemingly borrowing these elements (and the short run) from the British version, what else are they going to borrow?

I’m optimistic but a little more wary of what to expect. Guess we’ll find out on November 9th!

One of them appears to be a shower with the plumbing at the top and middle.

Am I ever glad they used this company and not 'The Basement' 😏... y'know like BB's Basement from CH7 era! 😧🤢

as stated by the BB page, its a "pilot" season for 6 weeks, this season is just a test run, next year it would be a full length 12 week + season on another set which would be much bigger with a backyard im speculating.

Their time to shine. Listen to what viewers and fans have been asking for and they'll do great.
