Big Brother 2006 on official YouTube Channel (Live-streamed 26-28 Sep & 3-5 Oct)

Yeah she's not doing herself any favours right now as I'm watching. But my thinking was the tweeny voters would have wanted to save the "couple".
TBH after looking at the graph you might actually be right to think that. I assume David is the person on the bottom so if you swap him out for Ashley thats 55% of save votes that definitely go mostly towards Katie and Jamie, mostly Katie it would seem. But thats also an extra 37% of evict votes that could just cancel out any other save votes Katie would have gotten. It would have been way closer but I still think Katie was fucked either way.

I dunno. It's impossible to extrapolate how save and evict votes would have gone. Katie's subsequent behaviour wouldn't have helped, but I do think there'd still have been a "couple" save attempt by voters all the same. In some of the infinite timelines I'm sure that happened at least.

I asked in the chat why the streams are starting with the OG theme rather than using the 2005-2007 theme from the zip file they released for the remix challenge.

They answered that the original theme is closer to the 2025 one, so is why they’re sticking with it. 👀👀👀
So why don't they play the 2025 theme then 😜

I presume they're referring to the new remix that features in some of the BB promos with the 2003-2007 melody overlaid over the 2001 single, e.g.:

Someone in chat asked Reggie about Kris Noble reportedly dying (as per Vesna). She said no, she would have heard if he had. And added "Vesna is full of :poop:"

How interesting. I did sort of question that, what a rando comment to make if not true but presumably a misinterpretation and not Vesna making stuff up.

But intriguing that they have seemingly clashed!

The pre-launch 2007 episode where they got so much mileage out of Gretel's Rove Interview which was such a tangent off BB into her off season activities and imitating Donkey noises is worth a re-listen (and link to the interview if I can find it) when the 2007 stream starts LOL.
That donkey soundbite has lived rent free in my head for 18 years. Not even joking.

I’m actually finding myself quite liking John during this marathon, which I never really experienced before, not sure what has changed. I feel particularly disappointed for him that his legacy was reduced to what it was but I’ll see what my thoughts are tomorrow (or whenever “it” airs).

A sign of the times, but I'd be a bit disappointed having to watch highlights of a match on a tiny mobile phone screen with three other people. Product placement at it's finest.

Dave's FB live stream with Reggie was cute. She's so cute, even if she's got her face pressed up against her phone screen.

He's doing another one Saturday night with Camilla.

Its interesting how none of the famewhores of 2006 have popped up while their season is being streamed. Guess they all eventually gave up on those dreams at some point.

I’ve found myself dipping in and out of this season’s marathon the least so far. Honestly, I think despite it being full of a lot natural drama, there is something very…frustrating…about it.

Between the constant twists, ridiculous stunts (the lie detector and under the radar specials were some the biggest loads of bullshit in BBAU), the neverending stream of annoying housemates, Gretel’s attitude and BB being IRRITATING AF during the Nominations episodes, this season is actually quite unwatchable. In my opinion.

On a side note, the BBAU YouTube team have been putting out an advisory warning that the Turkey Slap Aftermath episodes will stream unedited from around 1:30pm AEST today. The Special Interview will stream around 4:30pm. They’re considering disabling the chats during these episodes.

BB: “We don't want to be revisionist and will let it play out but chat is always optional

Is anyone else a bit sick of her yet?

🤷‍♂️
She certainly has a quality now compared to her character 22 years ago. I feel I'd get frustrated having a one on one conversation with her.
BB being IRRITATING AF during the Nominations episodes.
It has become irritating how he pushes nominations. I'm sure a lot of this has to do with it being a marathon, rather than an episode a day.

Chat is much more enjoyable than the season is tbh.

Earlier chat was talking about how John Howard wanted Ten to cancel Big Brother after watching Adults Only and getting size envy when seeing Jamie. He didn't want the public to know that they could be that big, so that way he felt more like a man.

No, it was just as bad back then too. It’s completely unnecessary. The housemate’s real-time reactions and their retorts to his interrupting is proof of how annoying it was even for them, and a testament that this persona should’ve been dropped.

Yeah it annoys me when a nomination is actually valid and then he questions it and says "get to the point"

All I can see is Kris in the booth next to Nick shuffling through the same prompt cards everytime a housemate speaks.
