Big Brother 2005 on official YouTube channel (Live streamed Sept 12-14 + Sept 19-21)

Re: CBB they’ve added: “airing that season without any warning to contestants may not be appropriate for the friends and family of some of the Housemates so we were told to wait until this could be investigated

I’m not sure how that entirely differs from celebrities and guests who’ve appeared in the civilian seasons tbh, so I’m taking that as possibly reaching out to any celebs’ families who have since passed. Adriana passed many years ago so that might have something to do it. But I could be wrong.

The BBAU Instagram account also followed almost all of the living celebs recently, and a few follow back (even Warwick), so I assume some form of contact has already been made. I gather a fair few would be more than fine with it.

Although to be fair, there’s probably a couple known suspects (Red… Anthony…) who may have an issue with it…

The BBAU account did opinion polling earlier about the guy that spams chat. Some of the reasons people gave make no sense.

Some idiot claimed the spam is just how he processes information... Fuck off. 😂

I don’t think Lachlan has ill intent but he isn’t contributing to the chat in a way that stimulates conversation, he’s just cosplaying Mike Goldman for 72 hours straight trying to farm as much chat xp as possible.

The people in the chat trying to defend it need to get a clue

What were the results? I missed that, but I also blocked Lachlan.

Oh gosh yes that would be great if they could shut Lachlan up. I only look at the chat sometimes but it’s always the same thing, might actually be worth looking at without him commentating. Still probably not tho.

Almost universal that they should turn off the ranking system on the chat (they said would be done next weekend). Then he suddenly stopped posting as much.
He also went on an mega guilt trip fishing for sympathy by overly apologising to everyone

Apparently Vesna has some super juicy info to tell about the final night of 2005. Apparently she'll share it via a TikTok at some point once the marathon is over.

I'm not going to keep an eye out for it, but if anyone sees it - plz share it here.

Probably less infuriating than their desperation for racist Terri to win, yet for some reason I find the whole Logan situation annoys me more.
Terri was worse. But the Logans deal was poorly planned from the start. If/when they got busted in the first two weeks, they should have had them compete against each other in a challenge for one of them to stay and the other to be evicted (obv they couldn't let the HMs or viewers decide because they wouldn't know which was which and viewers wouldn't be able to distinguish them either). Having them remain together for so long gave them too much of an advantage. If anything, forcing one out when they finally decided to do it was actually better than their original plan, but it was way too late.

At the very least, the evicted Logan should’ve gone into some form of isolation for the remaining couple weeks of the season. As Vesna revealed in the chat (which isn’t necessarily new info, as it was already known here and in the circles at the time), it is all but confirmed that when David left, the advantage of them winning increased because he and his family took out a loan, and essentially began a voting farm in favour of Greg. That, and the extra publicity David was doing in the media by being out of the house, is ultimately what gave them both the win in the end.

Agree, it was pretty well setup for them to win in that sense.

Why did Dean get to stay despite having lied about being in a relationship and the others who did so booted?
Because producers made up the rules as they went along. The "Liars Eviction" is probably the biggest production scandal in BBAU history IMO. Once they're in the house every HM should be equal with their fate determined by their actions within the house, not the technicalities of the audition process.

David leaving was the best thing for Greg
Another example of the incompetent production that let the show down that year. Arguably them playing as one HM as a result of "failing" the initial mission was a reward rather than punishment and perhaps an instant eviction of one of them should have been the consequence initially - or viewers getting to decide if they stay or go. However as it wasn't they should have stuck to them playing as one. Greg definitely benefitted from David going.

P.S. Was it still just Vote to Evict in BB05 or had the Save/Evict been bought in by now?
