It’s so funny that in the entire history of BBAU nobody has ever smashed into a mirror and cut themselves open… except for David, whilst trying to hide this whole twin thing. It just seems like the universe went ha ha to BB for the twist.

Annoyingly for them, had BB still not swapped them after the fact and it wasn’t Greg in the house at the time the HMs asked to check under the bandage, they might have got by. Just.

This is a hugely nostalgic season for me, and one of my favourites, too. Aside from the obvious being Vesna (iconic behaviour and one of the all-time greats), in hindsight I’m not really sure why else it’s a fave. Just is. Perhaps because it was the first season that my whole family (and not just me) was so invested in the show, so I have a lot of memories about our collective love of Vesna, but this season just felt like such a big deal at the time.

It’s definitely not the best but it’s always been a personal fave? If that makes sense? I got a 3 mobile during this run and watched the live streams in the car on the way home from school (what a novelty!). Haha! The finale is one of my favourite BBAU episodes as well.

I feel this season was also the very last of peak BBAU, right on the cusp of its downfall.

I might be the only one who loved Logan Greg haha I liked Vesna as well. Tim was great too! I just remember spending like 100 days watching EVERYTHING. I remember sending an email to Mike for the uplate show and Christie read it since she was evicted. I was underage and went to a nighclub after the show and met most of the housemates too haha Definitely a personal fave!!

Greg wasn't smart enough to figure out that he needed to be nowhere close to winning FNL because that was two days spending a lot of time with one person one on one. Even someone who wasn't exactly an intellectual giant like Glenn figured out that something was off after that. I do think they last longer without the mirror incident but I think after the rewards room it was probably only a matter of time.

The twins did the rounds apparently. They thought they were big shots. My granny used to manage an apartment complex in Melbourne and after they won they came and stayed for Melbourne cup weekend and left the place absolutely trashed.

This does not surprise me. They were acting like huge celebrities and being treated as such, but I guess they kind of were. Meeting any other reality tv star of today wouldn’t have the same impact.

Something I do like is seeing the date before each episode. I didn’t have many reference points for the previous years but this season onwards and I can see the date and know roughly where I was, either physically or metaphorically in life, sometimes very precisely and it really takes me right back.

I do experience this from just watching it as well, but the time stamp really elevates that nostalgia.

I think he said it in his intro video on Launch night too. Was definitely said quite early into the stream last night somewhere.

Watching the launch. Can I make one request if production are still around, can we not with the laugh track, and the ooing and awing this time around? It’s one thing to have the audience react in the studio but it feels super unnatural hearing them react to footage from the house.
