I was talking in germs of playing up for the cameras. Oats was so painful and performative. I wouldn't have minded if it just been something spontaneous, but it didn't end up that way. Between that and Surly it was obvious that no live feeds had given way to producer influence and interference. Wholly contrived by this point.Yeah 2013 was actually a great season! And not watching it live helps you forget about the lack of live streams etc. 2012 was pretty good too but 2014 was rubbish.

Having now seen BBUK's 2010 seasons (CBB7 & BB11/UBB) I had the feeling Surly seems like He was maybe thought up as of as our counterpart version of The 'Tree of Temptation' down to the accent and Tree's location during BBUK11 (i.e the bathroom).I was talking in germs of playing up for the cameras. But yeah remember how during BBAU2012 they shoehorned the housemates into performing Gangnam Style in a promo that looked like it was a proper professionally done shoot or something (kinda like AI before it was really a thing like it is now)? Something that had started to really hit virality on the outside while they were in the House (even though yes it was originally released in July or something, it really blew up around September iirc).

Yeah that’s true, the oats is done entirely for the audience’s benefit and now I’m also remembering that awful gangnam style dance they were made to do. It felt slightly less contrived than some of the later 10 series but yes not authentic.

Dude where’s my car is one of my go to movies to watch stonedYeah I'm pretty sure I remember a Kitchen utensils spontaneous jam session from BB02 even. Also those two sound like they were probably references from movies Dude Wheres My Car (2000), and The Nutty Professor Eddie Murphy movies (1996 & 2000). Haha.

Oh that was absolutely the origin. The various BBs used to compare notes on what worked / didn't work so various tasks got duplicated around the world. He was maybe thought up as of as our counterpart version of The 'Tree of Temptation'
And yes Gangnam Style was excruciating. Flies in the face of the format that they had done promotional stuff before even entering the house. I mean more than interviews and head shots etc.

actually scratch that, I saw Nathan still there at the point I looked, but not Turkan or Brodie , but its Turkan's eviction they're on now (19th May), so they're just about to start Week 7.Just Checked in, I think they're somewhere through the Double Eviction week (Week 8) last week of May 2002.

BB05 was when they went to 100 days, with BB06 and BB06 being 100 days as well. Was this series 85 days like the first? Was it BB04 when they went to 100 days?
May have missed it, did they confirm they were going to upload uncut/uplate/adults only episodes from some of the later series (2005/2006)?
If so, I wonder how the ex housemates feel about their younger, naked bodies being shown 20ish years later? Not sure they signed up for that and I wonder if 10 will face any backlash from disgruntled ex housemates who now have corporate careers and have moved on with their lives seeing old footage from their early 20’s re-hashed all these years later?
Just a thought.

2013 is probably up there with one of the best BBAU seasons ever, imo.

Just started a rewatch of 2013... I honestly think it was the best cast they ever had. Except for maybe Sharon, everyone had some sort of an impact on the House. And you could sense that the producers still gave a shit on some level – like shelving Showdown after a few weeks and giving us Late Night Feast instead.
That said, it's very different watching from the UK – I never really had live streams or UpLate, so didn't miss them. I did have "Premium" during BB06, but it was of limited use with the time difference.

(In the interests of being somewhat on-topic, yeah, BB02 isn't doing it for me. I don't remember loving BB03 when I first watched it, either, but I'm excited to be more in the "modern era" than the "back to basics era" from next week!)

Ok Just checked in again and they've just started the Week 8 Nominations episode Drawing numbers for nomination order, This is the Double Eviction week. Judging from the time of my previous post a weeks worth of episodes for this season's regular schedule of eps is taking roughly 3.5/4 Hours or so. Theres like 5 weeks left of the season so another 20 hours from now the Finale should be streaming at around 6PM AEST I'd guess.
You are right about this. Too much of that slime green. Strange choice.I really hate how green the backyard was in 02, it was overstimulating. The 01 backyard had a lot going on but was the superior design.
