It's being reported that Titan Studios is the new location for the BBUK house.

To me it looks quite problematic - backs upon a residential area and in a very built up area. Garden Studios had the benefit of being canal side and on an industrial estate (with many of the units owned by the studios) so didn't have to worry too much about the neighbours.

I suspect one problem is The Masked Singer is filmed around the same time and another high profile show there might compromise the secrecy of that.
 
Have we heard anything about this delaying CBB24? I feel as if we'd definitely have a Launch date reveal by now if it was airing the same time as CBB23 did last year (March)?
 
Actually just reading apparently there was a teaser 'coming soon' on the Love Island Finale and rumoured April Start date perhaps.
 
They said a few months ago it would be mid-April. Will Best has reportedly said it'll basically be the same layout but without the mezzanine area.
 
It was pretty much known anyway but now confirmed Celeb Big Brother launched 14th April. Means it'll be on air over Easter for the first time.
 
As expected just a rebuild really and anyone who was expecting different hasn't been paying attention.

Looks like the house may not connect directly to the garden so hope that glass is soundproofed - the airlock did a really good job of keeping sound out on eviction night meaning we didn't have to suffer crowd noise being pumped into the house.

Same eviction set but will be interesting where it leads as seems to be one sound stage rather than two this time which I think is the main motivation for the move. Does concern me they're in a much more residential area even though they're not actually too far from where they were.

Exactly - you don't invest in what is essentially a "flat-packed" house and then not reap the benefits when you move location, even if it requires you to move a few of the pieces round to fit your new surroundings.
 
I honestly wouldn't mind if we actually got a bit of variety in terms of themeing. We put up with BBUS and BBCAN reusing the same layout year after year and especially in the case of pre spon-con BBCAN and to an extent BBUS in recent years have done decent enough job of changing things up enough that they don't necessarily feel recycled. ITV Season 2 and I'm anticipating 3 will as well is going to feel like just a fresh coat of paint. I mean even Channel 5 didn't get that much shit for pumping out 4 seasons with the same layout. I'd also like to say that some of my favourite houses from BBUK were the C4 era CBB houses because they always had small but interesting changes and sometimes even moved the themeing forward a bit and improved things. The ITV era it all just feels very lazy, overproduced, and poor decision making behind the scenes.
 
C5 had it about right, changing the layout when they wanted too but not just for the sake of it. In hindsight C4 doing it every year didn't always lead to a better house.

Hopefully just tweaking the house to fit the studio will lead to some improvements and see the endless corridors, which were partly as a result of the layout of Garden Studios, disappear.
