Yeah I don’t think there’s much competition between Ali and anyone else. The only two that could have seriously been in contention to gather more win votes have just left.
Thomas, Segun, Nathan, Sarah and Baked Potato virtually have no chance. There’s then a very large gap between them and the obvious top four of Ali, Marcello, Emma and Hannah. But even then I think Ali’s lead over them will be quite large.

Not that surprising they did that though. Whenever they do a line of most likely/least likely to win - its always hilariously wildly incorrect.

Completely agree, I don't get all this outpouring of love for Ali.
What has she actually done other than befriending Lily and getting into confilicts with Khaled and Marcello + overanalysing everyone. I can't think of any fun, entertaining moments she has had in the house.
She arguably dragged Khaled's name for three weeks (though I do think Watermelon gate then Nathan being a prick was a turning point for them) and the defining moment of her time came from a quote from one of the house bores.
That said although she's annoyed me at times and isn't classically entertaining I do think she's intriguing and one of the more interesting HMs the show has had. My frustration now is it seems she'll steamroller to victory (based on the polls I've seen) rather than have to fight for it.

Yep, I truly think Khaled would have challenged her for the win if he stayed this week. From what I have seen, the majority are shocked he went and he has a lot of support.
Yes, the narrative of the series seemed to be heading for a Khaled v Ali final two, and I'd probably have rather seen Ali be victorious in that situation. If the bookies are to be believed Marcello might be up there at the end but I don't see it myself. I think Khaled's support is more likely to go towards Hanah.
Producers have really fucked up with this Vault twist. Viewers see the problem straight away but producers either didn't or did and decided to go ahead anyway.
Basically one housemate will randomly pick three others to go into the Vault with them. The person in the vault with the least amount of votes is evicted. Therefore 5th-9th could all survive over someone 4th in the vote.

I assume that it was planned long ago. ITV doesn't trust the housemates to carry the season. We've seen this on all of their series with the constant tasks and twists. And the finale getting broken down to stages might be something that we'll see on more Big Brothers around the world.
Celebrity Big Brother in Germany has been doing it for a few years now. They have two competitions on finale night and the losers of the competition face the public vote. Two housemates are evicted that way, then the remaining three people face the final vote to win.
Italy hasn't had any competitions, but the semifinals and finals of their previous season also had different stages. They had 11 housemates for the semifinals and some of them have already won a spot in the finale. During the semifinals they had three different votes for housemates to reach the finale, evicting four people in that process. Who was up for the vote, determined on a random draw and then the nominees picking another person to join them.
Eight housemates made it to finale night. The three housemates didn't win their ticket for the finale were up for the final eviction on finale night. Two were evicted, thus leaving six in the house. They were split into two groups of 3 with their separate votes. The one with the fewest votes from each group had to leave the house before the final 4 faced the final eviction vote.
Unlike the UK, both Germany and Italy have done that over one night (or two nights, if we include Italy's semifinals), but the live shows in these countries run for 3-4 hours. But I could still see that (compeition/random draw/random eviction lists) being the inspiration for the Vault on BBUK. However, neither of these versions fooled the audience into thinking that the votes are the votes to win (until it came down to final 3/final 4) and all votings started after the audience was informed who was up for the public vote.
Germany and Italy have too much time to fill for the final show. And since ITV has sadly no faith in their housemates carrying the series, they think they have too much time to fill for the final week.

The difference here is producers opened a vote to win without revealing the twist. Had they been upfront people may not have liked the twist but at least they'd know how their votes would count, rather than just assuming it's working the same way it's worked for the last 25 years.

So Segun is the first one to draw the money card and is safe from the first eviction. Don't like how they told him in advance that one of the 3 people he picks to go into the vault will be evicted.
Obviously he won't choose his friends in Hannah, Marcello and Thomas so we are stuck with a background character like Thomas for yet another day

Yep, I've acknowledged that. I'm surprised that producers decided to go down that road seeing that they've got in big troubles for sending Nikki back in and starting the trend of refunding viewers when the circumstances of a voting change (not just on BB). But I guess ITV will just point to the fact that voting is free, but that won't change the fact that they've fooled the audience.
So the farcical eviction resulted in:

I wonder if this was their original plan, or the backlash to the vault caused them to revise their plans.
tbh these backdoor evictions wouldn't be so bad if they utilised the fact that they're broadcasting live anyway with Late and Live and did the evictions live on that show (even if just from the L&L studio). What benefit does keeping it a secret for 24 hours do?

I guess ITV is worried that people wouldn't watch the daily show if evictions happen during L&L, for whatever reasons.
When Germany got rid of their live feeds, they claimed it was because it confuses viewers when you tell the events on two different timelines (e.g. what happened today vs. what happened yesterday). That has always been nonsense for German Celeb BB anyways, since half the daily shows have been about live content anyways and hosts had to give background information on live nominations when they've referenced an event form the same day. During this time, they've also reduced live crosses on L&L-style show.
But during the press conference for this year's series, the hosts slipped up and revealed that they got rid of the live feeds because they were worried that people wouldn't tune in anymore. And I guess that's the case with the UK as well, despite there being proper evidence that people tune in.
ITV will have essentially spoiled who the final 4 are going to be on today's episode. It has been revealed online that
have been sent into the Vault and 2 of them will be evicted. The remaining housemates
must correctly guess which two nominees will be evicted. If they are correct then £10,000 is added to the prize money, but if they incorrect then they lose £10,000 from the prize money. Therefore revealling which 4 housemates are in contention to win. And also pretty much spoiling the first 2 boots on finale night.

It's baffling they block the live stream then spoil stuff themselves in the promo, or in last nights case the pre-titles tease.
The vote really should have been reset after tonight. Likely makes it impossible for any of the lower ranked finalists to close the gap on the leader as the numbers dwindle.
