I think it'll have to be at one of the theme parks again to allow for the live audience, etc.
Unless they build a sound stage?
If not Queensland, could they consider something like Wet & Wild Sydney? They film a few shows out there, most recently Last King of the Cross. There is a shit load of room there and might be the perfect place.
I hope Queensland - it seemed to be warm enough there even in the colder months to be outside a lot which you can't be so much in some states like Victoria.
I don't think it'll be Raging Waters (Wet n' Wild) Sydney. Productions like The Last King of Cross utilise the space of a large unused carpark during the off-season. When the park is open, that space is no longer available. It also wouldn't be a good fit because after a day at a water park, even when you dry off and change clothes, you still feel gross and want to go home to shower off the sunscreen and the chlorine.
Dreamworld sold off the location of the original house to a housing development. They may still have space. Logically Movie World makes the most sense if they were going for a theme park as they already have sound stages and production services. However, it's quite a busy studio these days. Who knows? They might not have even figured it out yet.

Mel was saying "they don't have a locaton as yet". Wishful thinking, but surely Dreamworld would jump up and down to get them back, they'd want the publicity.
I looked at Dreamworld on Google Maps (not sure how recent the imagery is) and I'm not up to date with what sections of land have been sold off to developer's etc. But having no house, amphitheatre or production offices, begs the question, would it be viable building everything again from scratch? It would be a mammoth task, but a lot has changed technology wise since 2014, let alone 2001. Or would they be better off approaching Movie World? Or Sydney/Melbourne?
A part of me thinks they wouldn't want to invest TOO much money into this, but the overall return could be worth it. Especially with live nominations and evictions.

I’m pretty sure there’s a roller coaster now on the space where the auditorium was. And since dreamworld hasn’t actually owned the land where the house was for a very long time now, I’d say dreamworld is definitely out of the question.

Dreamworld is out of the question. The plot where the house was is now home to a McDonald’s and KFC. Would definitely make those KFC runs a lot easier on production that particular site has pretty much lost all appeal.
Not to mention cost. It was one thing when they’d leased it from a developer who was years away from it being developed and another to come back and ask to use it again once development has started.
As for the amphitheatre @Zcsund1234 was right.
TBH I don’t think they have any intention on going back to Queensland and/or having any association with an attraction or theme park nor should they. I think it’s likely they’ll just use a couple of available sound stages in Sydney or Melbourne.

If Melbourne… maybe Docklands? Or somewhere more out of the way, maybe?
I don't really see where they could put a BB house at Docklands. Unless they put it in a carpark, but that's kind of essential infrastructure for the studio.
The only stage that I could see where they could do an indoor outdoors is 6. I have no idea about the viability of using such a large soundstage or not for BB.

Yeah I don’t think the cost-benefit ratio would stack up if they were to occupy a sound stage for up to 5 months if you factor in the construction & fit-out, actual airtime, and post-season activations.
I’m wondering if they’re eyeing up a vacant block in Docklands to build a freestanding house like the old Dreamworld site - which yes is a big cost undertaking considering only 2 seasons are confirmed to be in the pipeline

About Dreamworld, the original house location these days appears to be a pond with icky brown water, according to the below image. There is also a new road right up to the northern boundary (constructed in 2022).

For me I'd avoid Dreamworld and focus on it being a new house for a new era. That said if Dreamworld give them $$$ to return there they'd be dumb to turn it down.
Most houses around the world are now are studio based and though the Seven houses, especially the second, were done somewhat on the cheap I thought the first especially looked pretty decent. The UK house is now basically flatpack and put up a month before filming and taken down after filming, meaning a studio can be hired just for the required period rather than year round.

I think for them to be able to be live they will need a facility that will be able to be a production suite as well as a studio that can handle live crowds.
These days the investment of what they did in 2001 wouldn’t be able to be justified. Logically it would make sense that they go for somewhere that already has a fair bit of this capability to keep costs down. It also needs to be somewhere that is accessible for the e audience to attend.
Docklands Studios would make sense or even one of the other theme parks.
