34 shows axed in 2024

Aside from BBAU I didn't watch any of those shows, apart from a season of Masked Singer.

So Aussie networks: it's not me; it's you.

Oooh, some of the rubbish I like to watch amongst that lot.
No doubt there will be more rubbish to replace them with, so all is not lost 😂

So the Mail have added shows axed in 2021/22 too, including BBVIP so Big Brother is on the list twice.

No doibt the industry is struggling worldwide now, though that is partly a correction from the over production is streaming boomed. Not sure the number of shows being axed is particularly higher than in the past but what is noticeable now is when a show ends networks often try and fill the gaps without commissioning a direct replacement just by rejiggling their existing content.

I won't miss BB, it was really bad on C7, The Traitor I would watch but won't miss it either, all the others I never watched them, so it doesn't affect me :) If they mad a better quality BB for example people would watch it. It is the production's fault IMO.
Well Survivor, Alone or The Block are not on the list that's all good :)

I didn't care for The Traitors or The Summit. The one I did like was The Bridge, which of course was first to get canned. SBS needs to get Alone AU right. Two pretty average seasons now. They need a location with some drama. Maybe they should send them to Canada and be done with it.

I agree Canada is the place to go for Alone, you are right it needs to be.... In fact you said it all, more drama. We need real wild life and the possibility of not starving

US did seasons in Patagonia and Mongolia, which shows some imagination on their part. The threat of bears, spotting paw prints, night vision footage etc definitely adds a dramatic edge that NZ and Tassie can't provide. There could be wild pigs/boars in NZ but didn't seem to be any in that area. I hope they consider further afield next time. Or at least a location in NZ with more food, but tape it later so they get more brutal weather. I'd much rather watch them trapping/catching/preserving food but being forced to leave by the weather, than starving for weeks in mild conditions.

Same 100% I also like how inventive they were and had to be, because of wild life and weather. Food was not easy but it was possible again they were so inventive, building boat, jetty etc..
