…well folks… as a special treat for you all I’ve created the Poll as serious and straight as I possibly could for the final show… no attempt at any ‘humour’ whatsoever (except for #6 maybe… because I was weak and gave in to all my other inner voices because they all ganged up on me)… but it is the most serious one that I’ve ever done regardless… so enjoy this special moment while you can lol!… (and I used all 10 slots just to be a smart-arse lol!)… I hope that Caroline wins it just to piss everyone off… have fun… cheers.

Slim pickings, but who does everyone think is the most worthy winner? I’ve got to say Feras, in the absence of Kirby. If it comes down to Mark and Caroline, I don’t think I even have an opinion! Mark came out of the gate talking the talk, but he has had far less influence on the game than he likes to think, and Caroline is delusional if she truly thinks she’s been strategic and successfully played any big moves. In fact, I hope it does come down to Mark and Caroline just so I can see them both attempting to explain and justify their game play to the jury. Even if Feras is final two, he is so inarticulate - I think he’d lose against either of them. The whole season I was hoping Raymond would turn out to be a master manipulator who’s been subtly pulling all the strings, but apart from his brilliant acting when he had the advantage, he really did just turn out to be an extremely loyal foot soldier. He seems like a nice person.

I wrote up my case for why Mark would be a good winner a few episode threads back, and can't recall all my points - but I stand by it, and would be thrilled if he won tonight. If he doesn't he still won that car.

The Challenges are the big improvement this year - more new ones this year than collectively over the last few seasons. Really enjoyed having all newbies rather than the imbalance returning players gives to both the game and the edit.

I can sit back and relax for once as I don't have a horse in the race.
I wanted Raymond to win from the start and didn't really back anyone else.
I don't really care who wins out of these three, but it will be interesting to see how they get there.
Caroline doesn't have a snowflakes chance in hell, and only Kitty will vote for her.
Mark will put forward the best case, and Feras is just too smug and thinks he is smarter than he is.

I haven’t seen your post but I’m struggling to see why Mark is a worthy winner. At the beginning I thought he was full of promise as a master strategist, but he lost his footing when the alliance with the Vs fell apart, and he never really did regain enough trust with the Middle Aged Mafia to have any sway. I think his biggest mistake was not helping to build a bridge between the Vs and the MAM to form a super-alliance. In the end, he backed the wrong horse and burnt his bridges, and consequently lost confidence and influence. We didn’t see much from him at all in terms of (successful) strategy or powers of prediction - he was not only eclipsed by Kirby, but by Feras too (and I don’t think Feras is particularly strong but he’s at least better at reading people). mark began with potential, but was ultimately a disappointment. I’ll be interested to hear his pitch if he makes top two. If last night was anything to go by, the stress will get to him and make him even more unpleasant and vindictive, which will really turn the jury off. Let’s hope they dislike his opponent more. Most of all, I just haven’t found Mark to be entertaining or to have an indispensable presence.

…evenin’ all… this is nearly word for word that I would’ve written too except the “I wanted Raymond to win from the start” bit but he won me over at the end… all the rest though is exactly what I’m thinking… a good post Meglos… I’d like to see Caroline win it just for the giggles… cheers.

I haven’t seen your post but I’m struggling to see why Mark is a worthy winner.

Yeah, it's hard to recall my own points, haha. I think I liked him so much in the opening episodes, that I am just glad he's still there, and I like him a lot more than Caroline. Mark lost his closest ally after the tribe swap, was targeted by his old alliance, and played from the bottom. Feras has had far more screentime and has great confessionals, but has had a comparatively far more cushy run.

It’s interesting because despite the fact that these players are not that likeable, we have a final 3 of big characters who are arguably some of the main characters of the season. Mark was a dominant narrator in the pre merge and Feras has been the main character for a while now. And even Caroline, women in their 50s never go this far and never get as much of a narrative as she did.

All 3 have been in dominant positions at points and have all made big plays that worked out for them, or sometimes that didn’t.

The season has been chaotic and whilst I don’t love this cast, the craziness has been a sight to behold. Whoever wins at least tried in the game. I don’t think a final 3 of this variance has occurred before. Whilst Mark and Carolien seem to be the goats in comparison to Feras, they’re not fundamentally bad players.
