I would put money on that they only actually have the cameras rolling for a few hours a day (including tasks and challenges). Almost all the scenes are during some sort of challenge, task, or periods in between. That's why we have virtually no content outside of these "events".

They might as well just have a camera crew and have recording sessions. We know they do reshoots anyway.
