I wonder what Dan Andrews fans think about this? I remember many of them were critical of Gladys (who I am disappointed with, I am not happy) but what will they think now? When Victoria's current lockdown started I remember many of them were confident they'd get back to zero and complained when NSW wasn't copying Victoria's lockdown restrictions from last year!

This is very interesting, and what he's talking about (without saying the words) is living with the virus.
Antivaxxers and the vaccine hesitant should note he stresses everyone will get the virus at some point. If you're not vaccinated you run the risk of hospitalisation and/or death.

Australia must open the nation’s state borders before Christmas as soon as vaccination rates hit 80 per cent according to the Treasurer.

I can't see western Australia or Queensland opening up by Christmas unfortunately. The premiers of those states are enjoying their powers a little too much if you ask me.

Brisbane because it's closer to the Gold Coast.
Currently the EU has restrictions in place so we cannot travel there until that is lifted.

Bigger issues. New strains… Vaccine booster shots. The problem will be ensuring that the vaccinated keep up with their booster shots.

Well you won't have to worry about that.
I do have to worry about that because what if we get to 80% and then inevitably some people decide not to take their boosters making the vaccination rate below that? We will be plunged back into lockdown again.

I have many reasons for that. Also I am not going to do what the government wants by getting vaccinated. Absolutely not.
