THE VIRUS 2020 - the good, the bad, and the ugly

Well we started with "flatten the curve" then thought elimination might be possible, but since Delta came about, we're back to "flatten the curve". The strategy doesn't feel good, but I've become more pragmatic via burnout. Just have to have faith in vaccines.

I’ve considered getting vaccinated but have since changed my mind and will not be getting vaccinated at all.

I just don’t trust anyone in our governments at all.

90 percent? We won't be open until 2145 by this rate. Which I'm sure would suit power hungry despots like Daniel "let's lockdown" Andrews quite fine.

I doubt we would even be open with 100% vaccinated. They would find another excuse for not opening up.

More than likely, “Oh, another variant”.

True. And they'll create more and more laws until our streets are filled with Daniel Andrews own personal army.

Already have that in Victoria with the brainless #IStandWithDan fans. Plenty of them on Twitter.

I wonder if he will spend around another $800,000 for Facebook likes and followers.

I can understand cynicism of our governments, but they aren't immunology experts. You should put your faith in science and medicine. Any risks are low. And we risk our lives every day to some degree. Keep it in perspective.

Another issue I have is the more I hear “get vaccinated“ by our governments, the more inclined I am not to get vaccinated.

There’s a problem with the “put faith in science and medicine” issue here. The media only promote those stories that suit the agenda of getting vaccinated. Yet there are medical professionals out there who warn about the dangers of some of these vaccines and warn against getting it who are not promoted on TV due to their own views. It is not as simple as “put faith in the science and medicine” and “any risks are low” when the long term risks are yet to be seen.

Hardly leave the house these days and rely on deliveries for everything so I am extremely low risk at the moment. No point in getting the vaccine given my circumstances and I have time to wait it all out and to see what happens.

I meant an actual army with weapons, trained to serve their leader Daniel Andrews.

I got my second one today.. Phizer.. feels like someone punched me in the arm quite hard, but that's the only side effects I had with both vaccinations..
I got a free lolly pop :)
Good for you. Hurts more if you tense your arm when getting it, so it pays to remain floppy. Stupid people here giving the shots got you to put your hand on your hip, which in itself tenses up the muscle a bit. My only side effect was a brief moment of nausea while I waited the 15 minutes to depart after my first shot (Sinovac). I'd had two beers though.

I think you might be consuming different media…

Potentially. Quite interesting, isn’t it?

The left hating Sky News yet they (and not others from what people are saying on here) are promoting a view which they would agree with. 😂😂 Who would have thought?

Really? All I see is Murdoch’s Sky News consistently pushing the AZ onto people. So not sure what you are referring to.
