Will you be going to any protests in the future? Apparently there was a big protest at the Qld/NSW border today. I was actually around that area yesterday.
Never been and never will go.

Not a fan of protests?
Protesting during a pandemic is stupid. No matter if it is for BLM or it is for against lockdowns.
Wow, good find @Isee that was interesting.![]()
Visualizing the History of Pandemics
The history of pandemics, from the Antonine Plague to the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) event, ranked by their impact on human life.www.visualcapitalist.com
This helps visualise how Covid compares to other pandemics in terms of deaths.
its interesting to see just how much bigger and why the reaction has been different for covid than ebola, mers, sars, swine flu etc. But that it is still a long way to go to be as big as some of the biggest killers. The numbers are probably under reported on a worldwide scale for how many it has actually killed, considering the lack of testing in some countries.Wow, good find @Isee that was interesting.
there is some irony of this article talking about freedom of speech and freedom of information in a newspaper that charges you to read most of its online content.![]()
Former 7:30 host Kerry O’Brien alarmed by Australia’s authoritarian drift
Renowned journalist Kerry O’Brien has labelled a drift towards authoritarianism as the most serious threat to the free press.www.theage.com.au
Imagine actually believing “we are all in this together”. Anyone who believes in their state Premier needs a serious wake up call.
We're becoming an Orwellian society, with us mindless drones sucking on the teat of tyranny. The state premiers becoming made with power as our streets are filled with goose stepping badge wearing jackboot thugs.
Very rich of Daniel Andrews to say that “we are all in this together” when he is sitting on a $452,000 salary and many Victorians have lost work… It’s repulsive.
90% of everyone? Or 90% of over-18s?Mr Sensible....ie Norman Swan, just said we need 90% now, at least before we can maybe open up

Do you find yourself less and less motivated to do anything?
And becoming more and more a hermit, not contacting anyone much anymore....except friends who are ill?
I miss DANCING
Live music
And all the random free stuff in Melbourne, galleries, festivals, Bollywood dancing lesson in parks
Fetes......spring fetes I love them, and I have run out of jams made by grannies
I think (and maybe @kxk can confirm?) it's 90% of over-12s, or 80% of total population. And I agree with these figures, because with anything less there is too great a risk of people getting seriously ill and dying unnecessarily because hospitals will get maxed out and be unable to cope.90 percent? We won't be open until 2145 by this rate. Which I'm sure would suit power hungry despots like Daniel "let's lockdown" Andrews quite fine.
Yes, I think there's more to this than just a simple equation. You have to balance a few things such as hospitals, you don't want them to be full of covid patients and thus people with other illnesses miss out or die because of hospital overcrowding & lack of beds. You also want the economy back on recovery asap, but not too early in that we end up like the UK or US with massively high covid numbers each day - but also you don't want ongoing lockdowns stifling the economy to the point where we end up with trillion$ more to our deficit..I think (and maybe @kxk can confirm?) it's 90% of over-12s, or 80% of total population.
