Well, it was wonderful when I was there years ago during the Obama era. People were so kind and addressed you politely. Plus, you had to tip people (something we don’t do in Australia). A bit different but a nice change.

Especially because of Covid, wait stafff were lucky even to have a job
so some celebrities started tipping 3000 percentt or more
so tipping means more than the VAT in England

My sister works at UCLA, met a lot of people including John Newcomb who extended an invitation to visit Oz
She & her bff spent a month & could have stayed longer, The hospitality was off the chart. She paid for nothing (she was incharge of coordinatinng his stay in la)

I have much respect for COVID nurses dealing with the pandemic. For the Doctors as well. I’m not sure what ethnicity has to do with it but okay then... Never raised it and did not really care but I respect everyone regardless of ethnicity as long as I am respected in return.

I want to be civil with the both of you. Pretty sure others here do as well. Respect is a two way street. Let’s start fresh, respectfully.

Likje the states. Been to newport beach, san diego and trestles on a long ago surfing journey.
Been to San fran too. Did the alcatraz tour and fishermans wharf thing.
Also baha mexico for more surf. Good times. Still savour them with glistening memories.

All my friends sail catamarans/trimarans participate in Transpac from LA to HI
(cough) when we win the America's Cup, my friends are there
I lived in La Jolla as well as Venice/Marina del Rey when my home hospital was UCLA
I have a ton of oz friends because of them but I think they are in Perth?
