I actually remember thinking at the time that it was OK if I lost my job and had to sell my car and stuff to get through as long as my family were healthy and Ok. Now we’re in a very different situation (although not out of the woods!)
It might seem a bit overly dramatic looking back, but at the time ... such a scary world for us. Probably a bit amplified for them with limited news.
