They should but they don't do this stuff or apparently care about it at all even when they know about a criminal history.

There was a guy who violently assaulted someone and was put on Sophie's season of The Bachelorette, and even after the media dug that back up they still put him on Bachelor in Paradise, it's so gross.

I'm confident in Taite extracting himself if he is the chosen guy. He's left enough clues to suggest they aren't compatible. People are going to side with Taite because a) he is likeable and b) people who like Ali are in a very small minority.
