There was a Q and A on Facebook tonight with the Pop Sensation known by one name. We now know this person is a woman, after they described themselves as an "aggressive female". Her favourite colour is black and she loves rock music. Remember, this person is an 80s star who went platinum.
 
I know who the comedian is. My friends and I played around with the audio in this twitter video, and low and behold his identity was revealed. No major surprises here... it's Peter Rowsthorn.

After reading that I'm locking in Martika as my prediction.
Pop sensation in the 80s (2 top 5 hits plus a #1 in 1991)
Almost always wore black & was a bit of a rock chick at heart

Martika does not match the three number one singles clue that was given on a previous page...

Unless they mean "Toy Soldiers" which went #1 in US and NZ and "Love... Thy Will Be Done" which went to #1 in Australia.

I thought the three number one singles was for the rock star, not the pop sensation? The one we think is Jenny Morris/Kirk Pengilly/Shannon Noll. I don't know, I'm confused now.

I am confused as well because the person who posted it said it was for the Pop Sensation. Lol.
 
Ben Gillies matches the 3 number one singles clue if referring to the Australian rockstar. Had 3 number one singles in Australia.
