More dating shows are on the way.

TEN has commissioned Bachelor in Paradise, a spin-off of The Bachelor franchise. It features previous contestants who have already been on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

TEN chief content office Beverley McGarvey told the Australian Financial Review, the show was like a Bachelor All-Stars.

“You have to have enough seasons under your belt to be able to do All Stars. We have a broad pool of potential participants to pull from and we just started casting in the past few weeks, and have had a phenomenal response,” she said.

The show is tipped to replace Biggest Loser early in 2018 as a short-run series.

Meanwhile Nine is tipped to be planning an Australian version of Love Island, which has been a hit in the UK (pictured). It screened in Australia on 9Life.

ITV Studios Australia has the rights for the Australian production where 3 seasons have been filmed in Majorca, Spain. The format is not dissimilar to Paradise Hotel in which singles hook up with one another.

News Corp speculates 12 couples will be filmed at an island location, as a a non-celebrity version.

I love the US version of Bachelor in Paradise. Hopefully the Australian one can live up to the standards.

Hope 9 don't get Love Island, they fuck up any RTV and it is a funny silly bit of fluff

I've never watched Bachelor in Paradise. Is it a trashier version of the bachelor/bachelorette? Do you think enough Aussie contestants would be interested in trying their luck again?

Trashier than you can imagine! I think we can rustle up enough 'all stars' for a good season. It's pretty funny, and tongue in cheek to a degree, and I think our version would involve less drunken pashing. I've only seen a couple of the US seasons and they were pretty...stunning. But there was one marriage from one season.

I think there is one occuring from the last 2 seasons. Evan and Carly.

Jade and Tanner from Season 2 are my favourite couple though. Still married.

Sounds good to me. The trashier the better! :D

Wow, have we even had enough seasons to rustle up enough trashy people for this Paradise show? Ultimately, they should really call it "Second Five Minutes Of Fame". The desperation (for fame, not love) will be so palpable you'll smell it from your loungeroom.

They need to get some interrsting cast to make it interesting. Not sure who they would pick for it.

Kiera. Jen. Leah. Elorah. Simone. Easy! Can't remember any men from previous seasons. Ryan?! I'd love it if David (?) the unfairly maligned model was back.

I have never seen this either, do they cast only ex Bach franchise?
Or do they dig up others from other RTV shows? Like Survivor???Grab some Bondi Rescue hot guys? etc

Lol be careful what you wish for... if they go too wide on that other reality TV you may end up with not just someone who knows Tully, but Tully herself! Although actually that could be amusing....

Ha ha, no. They only cast people from the Bachelor[ette] franchise.

Aww poo, that does suck.....some of the trash from other shows would be fun, and people from legit shows.
And do they get any 'fresh meat" ie never done any RTV newbies?

...evenin' all... so!... the 4 new intruders turn up tonight eh?... I'm waiting for Sophie's reaction to the long haired grandad that has 4 or more kids lol!... haha!... can't wait for the other's reactions to him... ESPECIALLY Jarrod lol!... cheers.
