Thankyou so much for this. What an elegant woman. Still think that she was robbed. And sadly still grumpy.

...I have to be honest with you all... I wouldn't mind it if this show goes off-air for a couple of seasons to revamp itself and come back with proper judges upon it's return... it needs something... anything to change to retain any credibility whatsoever anymore... it has become a mere shadow of itself this year... it needs to change

Maybe have former contestants as judges. (not winning contestants)

At least they know what the contestants are going through.

I can't stand watching George eat, he reminds me of Dale from the iSelect ad, but not as funny.

This really hasn't been a great day in tv history has it? First the new Doctor, then Sarah goes. The only thing that could have made it worse is if Tamara had been the new Doctor!

...bwahahaha!... you've cracked me up Meglos!... thanks so much my friend... I needed that... lol!... cheers.

With Ben doing good cooking for families. Oh he of the chiselled jaw. Maybe it could be a bit of a cook off with families, but with good advice and help about making good food from good produce. I'm very passionate about buying local. I live in an area where I'm spoilt for choice. Really only buy cleaning products from supermarkets.

Oh, that reminds me, I saw Tom Parker Bowles is coming back with 9's latest MKR knock-off, Family Food Fight, with MC guest chefs Anna Polyviou and Matt Moran and MC's Hayden Quinn.

MasterChef Australia: Matt Preston wants show to go back to basics

Matt Preston wants the next season of MasterChef Australia to move away from unattainable culinary masterpieces in favour of home-style cooking.

Speaking at Brisbane’s Regional Flavours, Preston told Confidential he was already tossing around ideas with judges Gary Mehigan and George Calombarisabout season 10, which he hoped would include more of what they saw during this year’s homecooking week.

“I thought there was something really good about that. We saw food that was really approachable,” Preston said.

“That’s a really healthy thing to get back towards — showing people how to make a great pasta, salad or burger that’s a little bit out of the ordinary rather than a gigantic pile of crispy golden shards that sings a John Farnhamnumber when you eat it.”

While MasterChef is still a ratings hit for Channel 10, episodes have struggled to crack one million metropolitan viewers this season, with Channel 9's Ninja Warrior and previously Channel 7’s House Rules topping the timeslot. But Preston defended the franchise’s longevity, saying the success rate of contestants put the reality TV format ahead of the pack.

“We are so lucky to have around 78 per cent of people who were on MasterChef now working in food, so that’s an amazing conversion rate and something we are really proud of,” he said.

Finals week delivered the biggest shock of the season on its first night, with favourite Sarah Tiong booted out during Monday’s episode, following a sudden death cook-off.

“In this particular challenge, the pressure was a lot for me to handle,” Tiong said.

In eight seasons, Preston said the judges had only correctly picked the top two twice, adding that this season was “a real surprise”.

IMO: The final 2 are known from the beginning.

...no offence to Matt preston but that is a whole crock of shit as far as I'm concerned... he's only saying that because the ratings are shit for the show and they have obviously been reading either facebook/twitter or places like these forums where we have all commented on the wankery of the dishes that's all... the show doesn't need to think that 'getting back to basics' is going to fix the show... it needs to get different judges rather than Gary and George... fix that and they fix the show as far as I'm concerned anyway... cheers.

It's a pity the winner no longer gets a major book deal - I would love to see Tamara's "20 Exciting Ways with Dumplings and Flat Macarons!"
I agree. Tamara would of course have to use a pseudonym to avoid legal action being both the protagonist in the story and the author.
A chilling tale of a woman manipulating a lovestruck masterchef judge.

I'm hoping Sparkles is the "shock elimination". Or did they just mean that the elimination itself is the shock? In which case it will probably be Arum!, Ben or Diana.
Today I was visiting my lovely friend Mary in hospital. She thought that Sarah had been cheated. Her issue was there seemed to be something amiss with the mussel liquid which should have been used for the foam. Did anyone see her make a mistake with this? As she said neither of the others had a problem? Curious. While I was there my friend Frannie rang from Adelaide thinking much the same. If this show is rigged we the mug public ought to know. Bet that it is Ben, dianna or Arum going tonight.

...is your friend Mary alright Desertsands"... I hope all is well for her... cheers.

BTW, Sarah's backing Diana to win, thinks she's the one with the flavours, technique and cool to win.
So she's probably out tonight. LOL

Oh, surprise, it's the princess talking with her hands again narrating and first through the door with Karlie
