Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2017) - Episode Discussion

Yep I would have hated either of the others to go. Really good interview by Chris and Julia. Actually Jay came across really well. I've taught Tongan kids. I was also made very welcomed in Tongan homes. The men are pretty strong disciplarians. If and only if, one of the Tongan kids was really rude or had done something wrong, and I made a visit or sent a note, I only had to do it once. I only did it if normal procedures didn't work. Some of my favourite people. They often had very little, but we're always welcoming. Ah it makes me a bit sad. I reckon a few were illegals, but I ignored that. Otherwise they would have had to pay heaps to be enrolled. I like breaking stupid rules. Sorry for the off topic rant, but it helps me make sense out of Jays behavior. Still glad that he has gone.

I am dancing he is gone.

He loved being on a power trip.

It was his way or the highway. (so glad the voters pointed him to the highway.)

Ding dong, Jay is dead! Well not really, but thank god he's off our screens. I always thought he'd be a nice guy, how wrong I was.

I don't understand the timescale. I get that what we saw earlier was pre-recorded, but it says the results are live, so were they they hiding Carson? If that bit is pre-recorded too, why lie, and why show Carson crossing the bridge into camp if we won't see him arrive til 24 hours later?
They want some footage to show of him interacting with the others after he's been in.
They could just chuck the newbies in on Sunday night saying hello and then go from there, but obviously decided not to.

ZOMG: You ruined it for the other viewers from different states that haven't seen it yet. :p

...**Sticky tries to do his best imitation of Keira by not moving his lips as he talks**... "I don't care!... it doesn't affect ME so why should I care?"... **pouts lips and swooshes hair back and proceeds to try and squeeze tears out of his eyes to make it look as if he's crying**... "HUMPH!"... **swoons away**... cheers.

These shows very rarely damage public opinion of a celebrity, but does anyone else think this was career suicide for Jay? I wasn't a fan before, but I'll be actively avoiding him in future.

I used to work with one of Jay's cousins in Auckland many years ago. She was lovely.
Did she play the ukulele.
Thanks to Jay all I can picture is a bunch of Jays strumming ukulele's to advertise Auckland as a tourist destination.
Unfourtunately, ukulele strumming whilst strolling the streets of Auckland doesnt quite have the same feel as the tranquil palm frond swaying Hawaiian version.

If you have to appear on shows like this, your career is up shit creek without a paddle.

And I don't think appearing on a show like this is going to revive your dead career.

As I have said before, I had heard Jay was a turd in real life.

haha well thankfully no, she didnt play ukelele. But NZ does try and embrace the pacific vibe, even if it's as tropical there as Tassie.

...I didn't know much about him before this show started... just that he was the guy on Play School once... I won't bother with anything that he's involved with in the future either... (nothing changed there really eh?)... lol!... cheers.
