General O/T Chit Chat Thead II

We literally bible only use our dishwasher when we have people over. I am one of these mental defectives who loves the process of washing up.

I am an OCD neat freak. Just hearing about your piled up dishes is causing me anxiety!!!!!

FOR THE LOVE OF PRISUS, WASH YOUR FUCKING DISHES!!!!!

You Xmas prepared? Are you going to torture our Maxibon with a Santa pic?

You'll be pleased to know they are all washed and order is restored! I don't mind washing up as such, this got slightly out of hand though and I tried to blame having an infant but I'm not sure it's a valid excuse. I do blame pretty much everything on him.

So not prepared for Xmas but thankfully I don't have to do too much this year aside from be in a million places throughout the day. I do want to get a Santa photo since its Max's first Christmas, considering he has cried over a cat being near him and sitting on some sand I don't think he will keep his cool. But hey a screaming Santa photo seems like a rite of passage.

Omg LOVE them!

Coles had a $2.50 special and I bought 4 bags. TBH I think of you guys every time I eat them. Xo

They're so good! I can't believe I didn't know about them sooner!!

Eww. Ewwwww. He's like 70 and filthy and smelly. And anyway good for him, it's one of the few pleasures in life that is free. At least he still has that.

Can't remember where we were at in this story but Amber the flaky South African LOST Junior (she claimed the cleaners must have let her out). No idea what happened to her so she is probably roaming free in Toul Kork (northern suburb) and hopefully not coming to grief at the hands of the local cats.

Actually that was the reason I saw my homeless guy: I went back to my old place just to check on the off-chance that Junior had found her way home... but it's a long way from TK. Needless to say I did not see her, but Trouble came out for a cuddle, and he's looking well. I'm pretty sure one of the neighbours has adopted him and feeding him. I didn't spot their other sibling. Poor Junior, I miss her! Hope she's ok out there. If I could get her back I would. Stupid Amber.

Poor kitty :( you did all you could which still counts for a lot!

Do you have apple care? If you do I would just call them and get them to talk you through it.... I've done this for a client a few times recently but there was weirdness with the iTunes media library and we ended up having a relatively dimples workaround of needing a new iTunes library.

If you have a Mac and you don't have problems with your iTunes library it's 'relatively' easy. You can copy and paste from inside iTunes. The menus are not too tricky - you just have to find the right ones. And have your iPhone hooked up. If you have a PC - which I THINK you do - then sorry I have no clue...!
Thanks for that. You are right, I have a normal PC so the prospect of a transfer was anything but easy.

I bought a new iPhone, so I wanted to save the music in the old one before selling it. Turned out to be all too hard so I just factory restored. On the upside I sold it on eBay for $300. How is this for cheeky? I got a price from Cash Converters and they were going to purchase it for a very generous $125!!

GOOD MOANIN FAUX T THREAD!

Well it is official, I have been accepted to another Ward for a 6 week secondment. I met the NUM yesterday, and I am so excited to add to my skill set. En's do IV AB's on this Ward, so I am hoping to be upskilled. I AM SO EXCITED!!!!!

2016 has been awesome, but 2017 is shaping up to be equally as awesome. I have noticed a handful of my Facebook updates are focussed on the horror of 2016 because a few "stars" died. It seems depressive types enjoy focusing on the sadness and loss each year is guaranteed to bring (and make a sadness that isn't even about them all about them ), while positive people seem to accept that sadness and loss is a part of life, acknowledge the feeling when it overwhelms them and keep moving forward.

My highlights of 2016 involved loving my family, fur buddies and friends, renovating our house, making a couple of new friends, watching my son come into his own as an Ain and our very own Jessy becoming a first time Mum. My lowlights, my mother dying alone - and in her own filth as Wayne Brown felt compelled to publicly point out, God I miss that guy!!!!!

Argh I know, right? I kept hearing how 2016 was such a bad year and I didn't understand why! I know there is enormous suffering going on globally and I thought maybe some people were referring to Trump, but no, it's just because the likes of Bowie and Prince died! I would hazard a guess that outside of family and close friends life has gone on exactly the same for everyone saddened by this news.

Very sweet of you to include me becoming a mum in your highlight reel, safe to say it was also a high point for me. This year has been a mixed bag but of course nothing will top that. This time last year it was so surreal to imagine some mystery baby joining me for Christmas and now it's hard to remember him not being around!

I almost forgot about Wayne Brown! I wonder what he is doing for Christmas?

Wow. How did you do that?! I want to lose 18.3 kg. Or it doesn't have to be exactly 18.3 kg actually. But around that... What did you do? Just 'not eat as much, or crap'? Or was there more to it?

I'm on optifast meal replacement shakes :)[DOUBLEPOST=1481982289][/DOUBLEPOST]I have had a pretty fantastic 2016! Up and up!

Yes I have seen them. I think they've only been out a couple of months. I had one before starting this diet and it was delicious. I loved it.
6 more weeks until I finish phase one of this diet and I can introduce some treats. Sour zooper doopers are certainly on the list. I have lost 18.3kg so far :D
Thats awesome Bleachy, throw some inspiration my way xx[DOUBLEPOST=1481983300][/DOUBLEPOST]

I think it just highlights some people prefer to be sad and outraged. I remember back when I used to clean houses for the elderly, a client told me while reading his newspaper "there are 2 types of people. Those who focus on comics in order to be uplifted and those who focus on the obituary section in order to feel depressed.." Personally, I prefer the comics too :D

Children change Christmas. They make them magical.

He will be Mario carting up a storm in his "say no to genitals" tshirt I bet :laugh::laugh:

Hi everyone. Hope you are all well.
Well, well, well.

Look at what the server logged in!

Hello boy! How did your 2016 pan out? Did you finish your study? You still sexy and single?

Good afternoon Faux T Thread!

Christmas is almost here and I am ready!!!!!!

My presents are wrapped, my ham is ready to be basted, my potatoes are ready to be hasselbacked, my meringue's are ready to be decorated with fresh cream and fruit and my pink champagne is chilling!! If everything goes according to plan, I won't need to go back to the shops until it is all over! My table theme this year is baby blue, red, white and silver. I am not sure if I shared this here, but my mum got a Noritake dinner set given to her on her 21st birthday. As children we were allowed to look but not touch, I remember it being her most prized possession. When we were very sick, she would put "fairy drinks" in the teacups (knowing mum it was probably scotch, sugar and water with a half a ground up mogodon ). Well when we were cleaning out her unit, there was the dinner set. In all the years of manic-ness, it was intact and in its glory. 6 of everything. My brothers insisted I have it. Christmas dinner will be served on her most prized possession and my table will be themed around it.

This is a googled pic of the exact dinner set I have. It is now one of my most prized possessions.

I am actually working the three big money days, so it should be financially rewarding too!

What are your plans for the day?

What a lovely dinner set. I bet it would go *ZING* in the microwave though! :D When I go shopping for the shack I will buy better crockery - you can't seem to buy sets here, everything is sold individually. I wish I had kept my Ikea set in Sydney as I could have collected it in March - but I gave it away to a neighbour.

Have a nice money-spinner at work. I will spend Christmas Day in exactly the same way as every other day... such is the way here. Having said that, there are Christmas trees and tinsel and shit everywhere in the malls and shops, despite fewer than 1% of people here being Christian. Even at the markets the stalls that usually sell Buddhist stuff have hauled out the tinsel. Never miss an opportunity to make a buck!

Have a great Chrissie with that bloke you live with and the dog too :)

Same to you other lot too. If you don't live with a bloke and a dog, go out and beg/borrow/steal one. :D

Note to self: go to post office today
