Anybody watching Bachelor in Paradise S3?
Jared is back from s.2 with his stalker - trainwreck non-stop-crying-obsessed-crazy Ashley.
She's sent home after 2 days, but suddenly allowed to bend rules, returning to continue havoc
around the poor guy trying to "turn him around". so much cringe, its always unbelievable
people would allow themselves to act like this on camera.

One of the best lines on RTV this year, or ever, by crazy delusional Ashley against Caila:
"you may be like making out with him, but I make out with his mind. I know how to stimulate him correctly".
omg she really is psycho.

That is a good line.

what other tv shows do you like?

Depends. I used to be a sitcom junkie I guess (seinfeld, friends, frasier, golden girls)
Then I had my first US/UK RTV phase - BB, CBB, Survivor, Apprentice, Project Runway, Next top model
Then came the more trashy RTV like MTV, Real Housewives of anywhere.
Then my AU RTV phase - Block (all seasons), House Rules, MAFS, MKR, Masterchef
Inbetween theres Bachelor in Paradise type fillers.
Then theres The Profit, Shark Tank type reality.
Now its a mix of everything. What I cant watch is sitcoms, and dramas. totally over it.
I did like Unreal though, probably because it dealt with RTV.
Also I find that Im much more selective with my time. If I loose interest on the first
episode than thats that. I may give it two episodes, but thats tops.

Ah ok. I'm more of a mystery, sitcom junkie now. Shows like Poirot and As Time Goes By.

So MAFS started today.
OK. wouldnt marry guys all tattoed over..
ugh. her parents were grossed out, I guess they wont last long.

looks like tomorrow's MAFS with the other 3 weddings (incl. first same-sex!)
will be crazy all-hell-breaks! that promo at the end was terrifying.

Anybody notice how mark & monica are the exact carbon copy of xavier & simone?
let me guess: she'll want to go out. he'll want to play video games and relax at home..

Did you guys ever get The Crystal Maze - a 90's game show hosted by Richard O'Brien then Ed Tudor Pole in which 6 contestants played games in 4 zones then caught tickets in the Crystal Dome.

If not this will mean nothing to you but if so IT'S COMING BACK!!!! This is like Big Brother returning times a million. It regularly tops the list of shows people want to come back and the best shows of all time, and despite being repeated continuously in the 20 years since it ended nobody has been brave enough to attempt a revival. Until now.

They've chosen a great host too if rumours are correct - David Tennant. Yes, The Doctor. It's returning in October for Stand up to Cancer with a celeb special (probably filmed at the experience which opened in London this year), and will go to series if successful.

It is news that is literally made my year.

(EDIT: Slightly less excitingly this has now been confirmed but with Stephen Merchant rather than David Tennant as host)

Typical channel 9. Married At First Sight seemed vaguely entertaining as a light watchable program with 2 x 1 hour episodes a week. Now it's on at least twice a year with three episodes a week and seemingly 2 hour ones too from what I've seen. So unecessary. Nine loves nothing more than to take a successful show and flog it to near-death!

Agreed, the re-unions are the best bitchin ever.

I just discovered Agatha Raisin

A modern, fun, super stylish, mystery solver, I love Ashley Jensen.
This show is cute.

High-flying PR whizz Agatha Raisin (Ashley Jensen) has moved from London on to pastures new. Like all the best laid plans, it turns out to be anything but when murders occur in the village.

5.10pm Sundays, 7.30pm Saturdays ABC

MAFS AU - Honeymoons

Wow, this season of MAFS is shaping up to be even better than the last.
Here TWO couples of the five, wont make it through the honeymoon.
what does that say about those "experts" matching success?
maybe they term a successful couple as two people who wont compromise
on anything, and so are bound to fight.

#1 leaving the honeymoon: gay couple craig-andy. completely disfunctional.
#2 couple leaving the honeymoon: obviously dave and jess. dave checked out
of it the minute he saw jess in the wedding (wasnt his type, a jono repeat..)
and the two are shown to be completely incompatible on every level (thanks, experts..)
Bella is shocked michael surprises her that he is a dad with a 6 yo.
she tries to hold face and smile, but you can see her thinking "so what
other surprises are coming next.."

We are shown small bits from another explosive "couples dinner". In MAFS last
season, this dinner proved to be the highlight of the entire show, with the
clare-jono feud one of the most cringe-awesome-horribly-wonderful rtv dinner
scenes, probably since RHONJ's teresa went ape-sh*t and flipped an entire table.
Its shaping to be a repeat of all that, but this time with TWO couples going at
each other.

Bottom line: MAFS AU is must-watch rtv.

Not must watch - when it is glaringly obvious what was going down last night
I watched Q&A.
And will watch the dinner tonight.
It was clear 1st ep, the creep pink jacket guy, who is as ugly as sin, has eyesight problems. Like many odious men he has an inflated ego for no discernible reason.

And the creepy gay guy, has been creepy always. The nice gay guy can't stand him clearly.

The dinner will be a lot of fun bitchin. There don't seem to be any good matches, maybe boy doll guy and dark haired woman?

Dinner disaster episode will be the next one.
Today we got the official "WE SPLIT!" from the two obvious couples who couldnt
stand each other anymore - the gays and dave-jess.

The breakup of the gays seemed to be more congenial. Caveman dave gave Jess
her "not being confident" (when she confided about body image issues) as his main
reason for stopping to show any interest in her.. "YES! SCORE!" the production
shout in the control room - "WE HAVE JONO 2!".
She's in tears, he's in beers. great edit. t-h-e end.

It seems a third break up will come in future - good looking muscle fireman and
neat freak control freak - "aka active couple" are the "xavier-simone" of this season.
Meaning they are headed for the same outcome. She'll dump him as "too childish".

Let the dinner commence!
