...who's a clever girl then?... it does sound yummy... but Ratatouille doesn't have rats in it does it?... I know that because I'm so edumacated lol!... cheers.
 
My curry chicken is my signature dish. Recipe that I learnt from my dear old dad watching him make it from scratch hanging around him in the kitchen as a kid and it is embedded in my memory.

Cooking is a lot about learning some basic skills, understanding food chemistry, then confidence to play around- who has time to look in cook books.
I check every now and again,for sauces and stuff on the net, and for baking
 
...I taught myself to cook only a few years ago... I love it!... I cook about 90% of our meals at home... (my wife loves the fact that I do lol!)... I like to experiment with dishes all the time... I do follow recipes only loosely... I like to do my own slant on them rather than rigidly adhering to them... I like to try recipes from around the World at times too... it is pure fun for me... we have a deal in our house... I cook and my sweet darling wife does the washing up and dishwasher duties (I don't do it properly because I'm a mere male lol!)... it's a perfect marriage made in heaven lol!... cheers.

Same here if I do see a recipe in a cook book or magazine, I'll always add or minus something from it to my liking.
 
...in a rating from 1 to 10 (10 being the highest rating) my sweet darling wife usually gives me a rating of around the 8 or 9 and sometimes 10 mark but she could just be doing that so I'll continue to do all of the cooking lol! ;)... (she's quite the smarter one of the two of us isn't she?)... lol!... cheers.
