I'm so happy that there are actually other people who don't like salmon! Yay Mr.S and GROOVER! In fact, if I smell salmon cooking it can actually make me want to heave :(

I can't wait for Nigella week either...so excited to see her sensuality ooze around the Master Chef kitchen. Remember when Rove used to ask guests "Who would you "turn" for? Nigella's it for me LOL 😘

Hey lyn-ann. I don't particularly hate salmon. I just think it's an overrated fish and expensive at that!

I could definitely live without it. I prefer barramundi, flathead or snapper.

Nigella week is when I wont be going overboard with my posting here (as usual) because I really don't want to miss a minute of this gorgeous creature on screen (oh and see her judging too):D Oh and pmsl at you would "Turn" for Nigella. 😆 Love it.

I love salmon - well, I love it crispy skin and slightly more done than they seem to like it.
Great for Omega 3 etc (as opposed to some other fishies).

The thought of confit salmon though kind of makes me shudder. I think the texture would be... slimy.. (I hate that word lol, conjures up all sorts of nasty images).
 
Anyone know much about mulloway :p I knew it back before it became trendy. Small mulloway are even called soapies due to objectionable taste. I avoided catching them as your hands stank for days and the meat was muddy colored and destined for stewpots. Now it's cool. The poor fish are the stupidest in the sea, as if you went spearfishing and missed, they would just move 50cm and let you pick up your spear and try again. They had some alternate name for being the least evasive fish in the sea, something like spearfisher's practise or something.
 
...holy crap they have to cook a three course meal without using a recipe or being able to write one down... they have to do it all by memory alone... stuff that!... lol!... cheers.
 
...I think that they are going a bit over the top with all of the time constraints for cooking times... they are setting impossible bar levels in my opinion... cheers.
 
...apparently Karmen has a photographic memory... that'll come in handy for sure... cheers.
 
...oh gawd!... I'd be no good in this challenge... they'd tell me what all the ingredients are and all of the quantities etc... they'd tell me what sauces and garnishes there are too but no matter what ingredients they told me... at the end of the task they would end up with 'bubble n' squeak' slopped onto a plate with a sprig of rosemary on top regardless of what they said lol!... as I said before... stuff that!... cheers.
 
this seems a bit of a bullshite challenge - I have never worked as a chef, but I cannot imagine anyone would be hired, be told to watch someone do it once, and then asked to replicate without a recipe - this is a memory challenge not a cooking one
 
Wednesday team challenge night is the best night of the week.

...yes I agree with you Witty... these are entertaining to watch for sure... way better than last weeks 'Masterclass' for instance... that was pure rubbish... cheers.

...exactly Isee... memory is the key factor... if that's not exact then no amount of skill will fix a major stuff-up regardless of how talented they are... cheers.
