Episode I'm A Celebrity! AU (2016) - Episode Discussion

Paul in the Tucker Trial tonight was seriously hilar.

I'd like to see either Brendan or Laurina win. Chief would be fine. But Shane or Anthony would be a travesty. I'd really hate to see the outcome determined by overseas hashtag voters who aren't even watching which is what I think happened last year, and is possible again this year. If Shane wins it's obvious that is what will have happened.

Everything seems so much more chill with Val gone.

I'm not convinced Laurina will be there at the end, I think all the boys have bigger fan bases than her.

I think she is getting a bit of underdog love.

I'm not sure that I agree with everyone here about Laurina being harshly picked on. I think she has been great for the show but I reckon she would be a bit of a punish to live with in the bush like that and that leads to frustration from the others rather than anything sort of ganged up on if you know what I mean

Warnie I just don't trust. I think he will target Chief and Laurina and try to have the final 3 Anthony Fev and himself.

Warnie is one of my sporting heroes but I'm not a fan of his off field persona since he has retired. He wants to win it bad but if its true that he has been allowed to smoke and eat extra then that is very average and would much prefer to see one of the other win..

Callea hasnt got a prayer.

A question about them doing Rock, Paper, Scissors.

The Chief did Scissors, Fev did Rock.

Why did Fev have to drink the concoction, as rock breaks scissors, scissors cuts paper, paper covers rock.

Or was it the winner of the game have to drink it, not the loser of the game.

They were both going to do it so, I thought it was whoever won it had to drink it, that's why he said something along the lines of worst rock paper scissor win ever.

I'm not really convinced that people are eliminated in order of the size of their fanbases. I think the way they conduct themselves wins people over regardless of "who" they are. I had never heard of Paul before this show, but for me he earned his place there with his humble, charmingly old-fashioned manner.

Backed up by Havana going before Paul.
Havana has over 18 thousand twitter followers
The Chief has 867

So there really is hope that Warne's "popularity" won't necessarily mean he wins it. He is undoubtedly the most recognised in there, but not the most popular.

It's pretty funny that Laurina is the last woman standing.

I don't think she would have stayed in this long if she hadn't been targeted for her difference, by both the older women in the camp and by the public in all those stick-it-up her early tucker trials. The fact she held her own in camp, and rallied and did her trials with a level of poise and dignity was really endearing. I think if the others had accepted her, with whatever annoying attributes she might have brought to the living situation, and not been shown spewing venom about her at such length, she might have gone out quite a while ago. She's having the last laugh now, and collecting a few more dollars for herself each day she's in (and some money for her charity with all the votes to keep her in, so that's nice, too). Good for her.

It's a good thing the winner doesn't receive (much of) a cash prize for themselves, otherwise we might be funding Laurina tattooing her eyeballs.

The celebrities reportedly got paid $60,000 per week, last year.

And all the winners charity got was an extra $100,000 at the end.

$60,000 a week???? Far out, I guess that explains why some of them went on the show.
I don't have a problem with that, if it's true, more likely it was a sliding scale like this year. I wouldn't eat most of that crap or do those trials, and how much does the station make out of advertising?

So I don't know how much of tonight I'm going to watch, there is Shane Warne with a tarantula which is like my biggest fear. I accidentally saw part of the ad and I am totally freaked out :(
