jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

Nah. Apparently the line up was still out the door tonight and the wait time was over 2 hours. I will wait till it's a more reasonable wait time haha.

Oh yes - fair enough. I get impatient enough as it is with regular lines. Maybe in a few months it will calm down enough for my patronage!

Mango pudding, yum
coconut pudding; almond pudding.

Plan how to eat, stick with mostly steamed dumplings, end your savouries with one or 2 fried things
Then lovely cold cleansing puddings.
Don't eat the too filling stuff like pork buns or fried stuff, congee is too filling but great for hangovers:)

Here is a good yum cha guide

Oh and if you see Chinese doughnuts anywhere, try them they are yummy.

Oh god.. i'm doing the 5:2 fasting diet for a while. Trying to be mega healthy & eating no processed carbs.. not even potato. The carb thing isn't going to be ongoing.. I just needed a real carb fast as it was really making me feel icky. I've totally gone overboard on the processed foods lately.

So then I look in this thread and all I want is some chips.. or bread.. or.. OHHHH... i'm not coming back in here for a while lol

So my brother and I were driving past Carl's Jr today and it didn't look too hectic so we stopped in to try.

Overall I think it took just over an hour which included waiting for a park, waiting in line and waiting for food to be delivered to the table and eating.

The burgers are very nice. I would say on par with the Create Your taste at Maccas. It was $15 for their burger with the thickest patty (1/2 pound thick burger) in a large meal.
So I think that might be a bit cheaper than CYT at maccas. I had the Mexican which had bacon and onion rings.

I won't go again until the lines are back down to normal fast food lines but it was definitely worth it! Diet starts tomorrow haha.

Oh yeah we also got the chilli cheese fries. Tastes like taco seasoning on the beef on the chips. They were pretty nice but I didn't have very much, I was pretty full by the time I finished the burger and most the chips on my plate.

Drinks are serve yourself / free refill.
