Dammit. Can you try the opposite direction? Staying safe is paramount though, so don't do anything rash.

The opposite direction is/was South, so I ended back home :( I was going to spend a bit of time in the Big Smoke (Perth) but there was bigger smoke on the way there - that turned me back - was not meant to be! It was a spur of the moment trip, as well! I just hope the people in Waroona and surrounds, are ok

Well, I was heading up to spend time with a friend in Perth

I am about 180klms from Perth - I did almost 40klms and was turned back :(

Heading South atm is not really an option and well, that was not the purpose of the Getaway/Holiday :(

Oh dear, doesn't sound too good. Hope nobody gets hurt & you can continue/re-start your holiday soon.

Me Too ..... it was a spur of the moment holiday, that maybe I was not suppose to take, even though I needed to. I have been watching the fire alerts, but have no idea what is happening atm. Even though it is about 40klms away, it is still really scary :(

Still sucks to have a stomach bug. I haven't vomited for years.

Just caught up with your fire dramas on the news.

The sound of a bush fire is simply terrifying.

Seriously though, the sound of my partner dry retching as he cleaned it up had me half dead cry laughing.

He is such a good guy.
