I have a funny story about a hand drill actually. My cousin didn't know how to use one and assumed she had to put the nail in the drill and lock it in place. She called and said how do people stand these things because the nail doesn't stay in place and it doesn't go all the way into the wall so she had to hammer the rest of it in... I laughed so much, I could not get through in words because my laughing took over.
