Miss Marple about to deliver some justice.

There are two tv versions of Miss Marple. There is the 21st century version with all its fast paced camerawork and reworked storylines, and then there is the more quiet 1980's version. I do enjoy watching the 21st century version, but I enjoy watching the 1980's version more. I think it is because it is more calmer, more serene, so when a murder occurs than it is more shocking. It is that juxtaposition of an idyllic English village life with the horror and tragedy of murder that makes it so intriguing to me.

Miss Marple is a great fictional character. She looks like a typical old English lady with her grey hair and sweet nature, so when she comes up with the solution to the murder people are often surprised at first. But as they spend more time with her they realize how perceptive and intelligent she actually is. Miss Marple was created by the greatest author of all time in Agatha Christie. Agatha Christie is a writer I look up to because not only did she write some engaging mysteries with clever twists, but she also created two of the best known literary characters of all time in Miss Marple and Hercule Poirot.
 
I reckon it would be so fantastic if everything was a musical. People just randomly bursting into song and dancing.
