jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

Vegetarian not vegan? I could be wrong. But I definitely thought they had mayonnaise and tartar sauce and/or similar kinds of toppings... (including cheese). I could be remembering wrong....

Oh you're probably right actually, most veg places are vegetarian heavy with vegan options in my rather limited experience. I want to go now and investigate.

Oh did that even work, I tried to upload a screenshot of a bit of their menu. They totally have poutine! French Canadian fries. Plus a burger ( that's 'burger').

Looks awful...awfully yummy. Thank you for that @Mooseface.

So, for all you asking about the loaded fries from maccas.... here they are.

They aren't my photo's and I haven't tried them, but on the basis of these photo's alone, I will never try them. They look naaaaaaaaasty.

It did work @Mooseface! I'm sorry to ever doubt you haha, I'll have to suss it out. It looks like it's on a burger though, they might have more range in store though. Not sure about this soy bacon though![DOUBLEPOST=1449188662][/DOUBLEPOST]

Oh no.....
No, no - that's why I spelt out the French Canadian thing. Isn't gravy and cheese the same thing as poutine? They don't call the fries poutine, (too 'complicated for us Australians?), they call them 'fries with French Canadian sauce topping' - which is gravy and cheese - which IS poutine, isn't it? Agree about the burger - plus it's a ... 'burger' (being some sort of vegetarian version of burger. And yes they are vegetarian - hence the soy bacon. I stuck to the fries myself!

Oh I get you, sorry. Hmm yes I have tended to assume that poutine includes the fries as that's how I've always eaten it, not sure why they have constructed it as such. It is a French Canadian thing, but that menu is weird as they acknowledge poutine is a thing that exists yet serve it in its true sense as something else. But yeah, just keeping it simple I guess.

The chips are all part of poutine. It's the chips, gravy and cheese curds *shudder*. Curds. I hate the thought of curds.
Like in that fairtytale where the girl was eating 'curds and whey' - how disgusting that sounded to a young me lol (and still does). I always thought that eating that would be way worse than a spider sitting beside you.
But I digress lol.

Here is a little thing on the history (whether it is true or not I don't know) - apparently it used to be 50% chips 50% cheese!!!! Heart attack! and GROSSSSS!

haha @ incy wincy spider...

OMG fresh curds are amazeballs. They are salty & squeaky.. a bit like halloumi but soft not hard. They are truly delicious. I need to try authentic poutine at least once in my life.

I NEED DIS!
