jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

Alright enough about vegetables!

A burger place has opened near me and although I haven't eaten there yet the burgers look pretty good, they even have a veg one. Anyway, what really excites me is that they have these frozen custard thickshakes. The decadent shake trend continues it seems, at least this is something a bit different.
Sorry, didn't take much notice of the sign on the front door (page) you are talking about junk food here.:shamefully:

As you were.....;)

You all must post pics of your zoodle dishes when they arrive.

The trick is just to heat them through, not actually cook them. That way they don't go mushy.

OK OK SORRY.. NO MORE VEG TALK. I'M DONE.

Now look, vegetables have their place in here I suppose. Like potato (technically a root I think but surely still a vegetable), I do love potato. Like chips - both kinds - hash browns, potato bake... what else? Mash can be good. None of this cauliflower mash, who does it think it's fooling? Oh and I tried these dubious zucchini fries once - they were ok I guess? I prefer sweet potato fries if for some reason white potato is being omitted. I've heard of things like carrot chips or worse still kale chips but I've never dared try them.

deep fried veg is ok in here? yay!

I quite like zucchini fries. I love all things potato. Chips, mash, boiled, jacket, potato bake (none of this posh au gratin muck). Sweet potato makes me feel sick not long after I eat it. Not sure why....

Kale? Even in chip form it's the work of the devil.

There's a Carl's Jr opening in Bateau Bay in December.

Should I be excited? Has anyone had it in the US. Are they good? Anything special?

I am a member of a facebook group called "The Fatties Burger Appreciation Society" and they are SERIOUS about burgers and they are losing their mind that Carl's Jnr is coming to Oz. So based on that, i'd say they must be pretty good.

As I am in W.A. I am not losing my mind. I'm just bitter & jealous.
