A best friend is great to have. I just got off the phone to my very good friend. Have been friends with him for 23 years. We Both married other people, both got divorced, but never went there with the 2 of us. I do love him though

makes me wish i WAS hosting family christmas this year - I'll have forgotten all about it by next year ... mind you what do I then do with all those pomegranates??!!!

had a CRAPPY with a CAPITAL EVERYTHING day at work today because my puter died overnight - I think the windows updates that came through last night must have created a huge issue
i could get to the icons for login .. but then when I clicked on the crimmy button ... nada - no little box for my password

restarted
swore at it
threatened to bounce it off into the courtyard below
restarted it again

rang the IT guy
YES I RESTARTED IT!!!
no I didn't do it in safe mode because I forgot how ... ohhh ok brb

nope still nada .. same thing

then realised genius (that be ME) had decided today was the day to leave the laptop at home ... so drove home ... and then decided I'VE BEEN ROBBED!!!! because laptop wasn't where I knew it should be ... or in the other place it could be ... or in any of the other places I might have dumped it ... WTF ... but nothing else was missing ... no doors unlocked ... no windows ... oh wait ...

ooopseys .. was in the boot of the crimmy-mobile all along ...

oh well .. back to office

IT guy comes over - 2 hours later he takes my pc away hoping he'll be able to save a few files I thought I had backed up but haven't and yes yes I know there's a cloud floating around out there that should have MY name on it but well I've never really embraced the whole cloud thing ... I worry about the climate you know!!! all those clouds weighted down in ... whatyamean they're not real clouds?? huh???
so anyway I have a lot of files on my ever increasing collection of usb flash drives but by the time I have mouse and printer plugged into laptop there is no usb port to spare *SIGH* so that's not going to work ...

sooooooooooo then my fingers have issues with this keyboard ... its too skinny for my fingers!!!! and if I unplug the mouse and have to use the touchpad its an overly-sensitive bitch that likes to play with the size of my ... BEHAVE!!!! ... its messing around with my ... BEHAVE I TOLD YOU!!! geez you lot really have bad bad minds ... the font size/window size goes from 100 to 400% then I have to twiddle around on the touchpad to get it back to 100% and its suddenly 50% and then up to 400 again ...

and do these things actually bounce if I should happen to throw it off the balcony onto the courtyard below and is there any need to yell FORE!!!!!!!!!!!! before I throw it or do the people downstairs just have to take their chances knowing that I'm having a bad computer day!?!?!

anyway ... fingers crossed I'll get my files restored ... fingers crossed it can't actually be reloaded with windows and fixed and I get a new sparkly one

and I wonder if the IT guy has a few hours to spare to explain that cloud thingamyjiggywhatsit to me in words of one syllabubble so I'll get it , trust it and not be terrified it'll rain my files down somewhere on the other side of the world and I'll never find them again!!!

dont be rolling your eyes at me thinking I really think its a real cloud ... I just think its a stupid word to have called it ... clouds are too busy to be doing filing all day ... just saying ...
