jessy_girl's junk food jamboree

YAAAASS, I've had it twice, slightly different each time but both a million times better than an ordinary burger. I'd recommend double bacon at the very least.

Double bacon!? Are you trying to send me to an early grave. :p

I've been checking out their ingredients list because I like to be prepared and I can't narrow down on the sauce.

Too expensive for maccas. I do want to try the chicken one tho.

Maybe for maccas but I'm used to paying city premiums so no big deal for me.

KFC is the BEST but so sooo bad for you.

Who here has tried maccas create your taste? Thinking of trying it tonight.

Yes do it, it's great. I was also thinking of getting it tonight.

It's pretty awesome. I went with someone who had a lettuce leaf in lieu of a bun and no meat, so there literally is something for everyone.

A friend has posted a pic of fairy floss flavoured lemonade (Schweppes) on facebook. She says it doesn't taste sweet. She'll put vodka with it I suspect.

I have *sheepish face*

It was maccas with a few extra bits on it. It was still pretty good though. Ya know... for maccas.

I had a standard Big Mac on McHappy Day, but my drink was a lemon, lime and bitters. I ordered it on the create your meal thing and I paid cash once I printed the voucher and gave it to a cashier.

The one I liked the most had a brioche bun, crispy bacon and caramelised bacon, one wagu beef pattie, cheese, pineapple, lettuce and bbq sauce. It had tomato and onion too before I subtracted them from the menu, and it came to about $11.

Ah, there's the rub. The cost. They don't mention that in the ads of course. Many would automatically presume that the prices wouldn't change. $11 is a lot for a fast food restaurant, even though it sounded excellent.

I had brioche bun, double pattie (sshhh!), onions, double cheese, lettuce, crispy bacon, big mac sauce, mushrooms and not sure what else.

Basically a heart attack on a bun. I'd do it again. It was about $15 lol

lol, I cancelled my initial order and started again because I'd gone for 2 patties and cheese, and it came to about $15 and I thought that was just ridiculous, especially as that doesn't include fries or a drink.
You can just about justify it as a one (or two) off, which it pretty much is for me as I've only been to Maccas twice this year and both times were specifically to get a create my own. If you eat it regularly, best to stick to the regular menu probably.

Oh and if you eat it there it comes on a wooden platter with the fries in a basket, fancy!

haha.. I did my order twice too lol.. the first one was ridonculous! My second attempt was still a bit cray but it was my first time doing CYT so I figured i'd go a little nuts. Treat yo self & all that. We got it takeaway & they put the bits separate in a box & you put it together yourself. I wasn't expecting that.

This is pretty much what I had! Though I kept the tomato and caramelised onions and it was GREAT! I'm definitely thinking I'll have to create another taste. Was a little weird getting my food brought to my very unmaccas.

Of and fuck cancer the double bacon was great!

This bacon thing. Is it only when it is processed? I can't give up bacon!

I don't know? What even does processed mean?
Haha. I've got no idea. When I think of processed I think of the pink sludge they form into chicken nuggets.

How good are nuggets tho?

Do you listen to Hamish and Andy? They've been 'documenting' the fast food Nugg war! Haha.

The only nuggets I like are the maccas ones. According to google processed meats are ones that are preserved by having them smoked/cured/salted.

KFC are my favs. In fact, maccas probably rate the lowest for me.

KFC breaded nuggets
Oporto chicken bites
red Rooster crumbed cheesy nuggets
Hungry Jacks battered nuggs
Then
maccas tempura nuggs last.
