I don't think applying a forensic torch to Mutley's extortion and hacked account publishing is unreasonable, particularly as he (not trala) and his toxic and underhanded methods have been volunteered by ex-members as by far and away the greatest reason for them leaving this forum permanently.
 
Sorry guys, but I think the repeated point that people have dismissed here, is the under-handed and malicious nature of purposefully revealing the private information of another poster, which was NOT legally made public, nor publically self volunteered.

To extort someone is to demand something from them through threat. It may be implied.

What was the purpose of revealing otherwise personal, private information (gained only through the result of hacking which everyone knows is illegal), if not for purpose of issuing a threat in order to gain something?

Even if others can't understand Witty's point and tenacity in pushing it, to dismiss him as deluded, is in itself deluded and in the extreme, arguably morally corrupt imo.

Go right ahead, dismiss and ignore if you wish. It seems this is a battle between hearts and minds, hopefully not intimidation and stand-over.

Sorry, not my intention to offend anyone, nor to take sides, per say.

I wonder what it would take to end this hostility?

P.S. Mutley, sorry for your loss. Like others, mine don't get to that age either.

I don't think it is unreasonable to be upset. I also don't even know why I chimed in. I guess I have too much past experience of making myself very unwell through going over and over something.

That minimises that his action was deliberately irreversible and the precise reason he was taunting with megalomaniac glee. He might not have had a conscience before now, but knowing that he could have been using his time with his dying grandmother rather than taking sadistic glee extorting me with his store of hacked account data should test anyone's.

If anything was actually illegal then he can do something about it.

Problem is, the only person who did something illegal, according to your definition, was the Hulk

Googling someone's email address, I think you will find, is not illegal.

Many people on here have been googled. This is not illegal.

I actually did originally like the post, regardless of what is really happening because I just generally agree with this, but the truth is I don't know what really is happening and I also feel regardless that it is a decent human act to not come down on someone when there is loss involved. So whilst I agree with the post in a general way, I feel it is aiming it at one person in specific and they are already going through tougher times than what's happening on this forum.

The deliberate publishing of private data with malicious intent breaks privacy laws. Using stolen data for breaching privacy laws is not legal.
 
The way I read it there's been some argument over private information being exposed (which I seem to have missed :() which is all well and good but what's really REPREHENSIBLE my dear @Witty Banter is way you've turned @mutleyp's loss into an avenue of attack. Making him out to be some terrible human/grandson for deigning to visit this forum for a bit of an escape is just low. I don't give a flying fuck about your current argument with him but what does piss me off is you dictating what's an appropriate response or action in such a circumstance. I don't know about you but I can tell you from my own experiences that waiting around for news or waiting around as someone you love is undergoing surgery is extremely stressful and sometimes you need to escape, if only for a moment, in order to keep your sanity. Whether that be by visiting a forum or calling you bestie to have a gossip.

Like @bleachy_dude said your actions tell me so much more about you. The fact you've yet to actually give your condolences tells me you lack BASIC HUMAN DECENCY.

So in closing go fuck yourself.

What I think is neither here nor there. If you think you have been wronged in an illegal way, there are things you can do about it. I won't be engaging in a legal matter with the winner of a case against a big 4 bank blah blah.

I thought it was extremely obvious that the ban Kingston thread was a joke, but clearly you need me to say it.

The ban Kingston thread is a joke... Ok now that is out of the way let's move on to the ban Reepbot thread. The days before I made that thread Reepbot was being the biggest cunt ever, it's all over this forum if you can't recall, they way he bated/replied/ went at hooley really got to me, so I made that thread and outlined my experience with him. Clearly the mods are not going to ban him ( where are the mods BTW?) And since I posted that thread I've noticed that Reepbot has been on his best behaviour, obviously being banned for this forum is terrifying for him ( don't worry Reepbot the mods are not banning you) since then I've came to realise that it really is none of my business who gets banned, its up the mods. What I do wish for Reepbot is that he spends less time on here and spends more of his time doing real world stuff, but whatever right... Not up to me...

Oh and @Witty Banter FUCK OFF!!!!! Again not up to me, but you being such a douche!
 
To @mutleyp I'm so very sorry for your loss. It doesn't matter how old they may have been it's always hard to lose someone you love. I know just how special grandma's can be and although no one can ever replace yours you'll always have your memories of her. I've always been of the opinion that grief isn't something you should let yourself wallow in but rather something to revel in as it's evidence of the love you felt and really isn't love the point of this crazy thing we call life.
