Lovely to see your enthusiasm. What are those blue and red plastic looking balls?

...hey bluefin... they are glass garden globes that you fill up with water (you can add 'Seasol' to it as a fertiliser if you want) and you just place then upside down near the roots and it drips out a droplet of water every now and then... I usually only have to refill them once a week so they must release a drop every few hours I guess... they really do a great job especially in the hot summer... cheers.

...oh!... I meant to mention Bluefin... the reason that there are two globes missing from the bottom left hand side of the garden was because when I was cleaning them before I filled them up two clinked together... well... they're glass aren't they?... and yes... I swore my head off and now have to go buy some more when I find them lol!... cheers

I could so imagine you presenting on Gardening Australia or something... that would be the most AMAZING thing ever! The segments are just you in your garden talking about the secrets of growing "Basil" :D

...yeah but if I did that show it wouldn't be the old fuddy-duddy version that you see now... it would be me being a cross between these two guys presenting it... Weird Al Yankovic and good ol' Uncle Arthur!... cheers.

Ah, I wondered if they were something like that. Yes, much better to hear the clinking of steiners or flutes!

OMG YES! That would be the best show ever! Millions of Australians would tune in to see the adventures of MrStickyFingers making parodies and being extremely politically incorrect :D :D :D

...hey all!...sorry to just barge my way into here in the midst of all your great conversations but I'm in such a great mood!... I just wanted to blabber my enthusiasm out to someone... anyone!... and I'm terribly sorry to say... I chose all of you great wonderful people in this thread to blabber to... :shy::)...

...aw man I had a great day!... sometimes when my sweet darling wife decides to stay home instead of going to Bingo we usually decide to have a work day out in the garden together... well today we decided to renew our herb garden... when I had my stroke a few months ago the old herb garden became infested with weeds and it was time to revamp it with new herbs altogether...

...we bought 17 new lots of herbs... we had to replace some of the soil with bags of garden mix and we added some blood and bone to it to give the new seedlings a boost... when I designed the barbecue and my mate and I built it I incorporated a three-tiered garden bed at the end of it just to grow herbs... here's my barbecue area and the herb garden is on the right-hand side at the end...

...and this is the herb garden itself... the herbs don't look much because they are just seedlings but probably within a month or two they will be pumping!... (at least I hope so!)... lol!... (I'll take another photo when they are in full swing if anyone is interested)...

...I am so stoked with this... I really love it when my beloved wife works out in the garden with me... (cue the music from "Ghost')... lol!... yep!... a great day indeedie doodio man!!!!... I'm in such a great mood... cheers.

That's a beautifully manicured garden you've got there Mr Sticky which is in stark contrast to my unkempt overgrown weed infested mess. :shamefully:

Hey you! How was your wedding?
*waves*

Wedding was really lovely. It was at Lindemans winery estate at the Hunter Valley and was a fantastic night. The best way to describe it was probably as the aunt of the groom said to me "it was like a woodland fairy" wedding. A bit hipster.
The wedding cake was made to look like logs of a tree and one layer was mars bar cake. It was the best. Not good for the diet. Ah well.

Love it all Uncle Sticky. These globes make the garden look extra funky. Suits you!
