The Bachelor Australia contestant Emily Simms has shed light on the departure of her friend, Bec Chin, from the reality dating show.

The 31-year-old from Melbourne told New Idea that -despite what it looked like on Wednesday's episode- Bec Chin was not dumped by Sam Wood, and in fact the exit was motivated by other factors.

'Watching it, it looked like Sam wanted to let her go,' Emily said. '[But] it was very much a mutual decision. They made it look more that it was on Sam's terms, which they usually do.'

Eventually, the source says, Bec told producers she refused to film with Nina any more.

Mutual decision: Emily says Bec's decision to leave the show was a mutual one with Sam Wood

In the weeks leading up to Bec and Emily's exits from the show, things appeared to have intensified in the on-screen feud with Nina.

The Queensland-based wedding planner caused fireworks on the show with her rivalry with Emily, who didn't mince her words when giving her opinion of the brunette beauty in her exit interviews.

Since filming ended, Emily has revealed she was so emotionally fragile post-TV show that she temporarily moved home to live with her parents.

The 31-year-old advertising executive likened the experience of being on the Channel Ten series to being 'institutionalised' in an interview with The Courier Mail.

She says that during filming she was only allowed one phone call every two weeks for ten minutes and a member of the production team would listen in case she revealed any details of the show.

The Bachelor Australia continues Wednesdays and Thursdays, 7.30pm, Network Ten.

People are know it alls.
You can exercise up until quite a bit with being pregnant, you need to customize certain exercises (I think squats/deadlifts is contraindicated after a while).

Becoming a mother in this day and age....so many opinions on everything.

Yep some people even exercise right up until the day they give birth, no idea how. There are limitations but considering this is Michelle's bread and butter I'd say she is all over it, why bother pointing it out.

It's hard enough for mere civilians. My friend was heavily pregnant and had strangers come up to her in the street and ask about breast feeding and her birth plan and of course give their totally unsolicited advice.

She is even does a pregnancy program with her 12WBT stuff so it's not like she's an idiot. The trolls also like to bring up he has children with another woman and is going to cheat on her and it serves her right etc. etc. Just lovely people :wtf:

Oh I've missed those comments, WTF. If people want to say it amongst their friends or whatever then fine I guess, but not in a manner aimed at Michelle herself. It was the same when Sonia was pregnant, such vocal jerks.

Truthfully I have some "opinions" on Michelle's pregnancy, but as if I'd try and make them known to her. She shouldn't care what a random person thinks but it'd be hard not to take the comments on board.

They might have been rivals on screen, but The Bachelor's Emily Simms and Sandra arrived back into Melbourne airport together as friends on Monday. aka they bumped into one another at airport and both needing some good publicity decided to ham it up for the papp who happened to be there

Victoria-based Emily had been in Sydney over the weekend where she caught up with her fellow bachelorettes Zilda Williams, Bec Chin, Laura Musgrove and Jacinda Gugliemino. but not Sandra

It's believed that Sandra was also in the Harbour City, and while she wasn't spotted hanging out with the clique, she appeared overjoyed to bump into her former love rival at the terminal.

Makeup artist Emily, who stormed off the show in last Thursday's epiosde, opted for a grey knitted dress that she matched with black ankle boots.

She threw a leather jacket over one arm and accessorised with an over-sized white handbag and long silver chain.

Fancy meeting you here! It's believed that Sandra was also in the Harbour City, but she wasn't spotted hanging out with the clique

While the enthusiastic primary PE school teacher opted for a racy leopard print T-shirt worn under a white cardigan and cream jacket.

The 27-year-old showed off her slender pins in wet look black trousers and added black ankle boots to complete her look.

Taking to social media, Sandra revealed that she was taking over Emily's 'princess' title with her oversized luggage.

She had a bigger suitcase than Emily even though she has only been away for a day, while Emily was gone for three.

'Too funny!! So good to see you lovely! Hahaha and yes options are a necessity!!! Xxx' Emily replied.

However, it wasn't mentioned if Sandra had been invited to the girl's Sydney catch-up.

The comments below have not been moderated. (so could be utter bullshit and that wouldn't surprise us would it?)

someone from melbourne, Australia, about 5 hours ago

It bugs me that she's still described as a PE teacher. Nearly straight from the horses mouth, she is now working for Virgin as a flight attendant, worked with her for a while, nice girl, but don't think she done herself any favours on the Bachelor.

some other person from Sydney, Australia, about an hour ago

Definitely a flight attendant at Virgin now.

hmmm retribution for the crap she's hurled at the show perhaps???

EXCLUSIVE: That's not very princess-like! Never-before-seen photos show The Bachelor's Emily Simms doing the splits in bikini while on a half-naked man's shoulders and kissing another guy's bare backside
By AMY CROFFEY FOR DAILY MAIL AUSTRALIA

She was portrayed as an uptight 'princess' on The Bachelor Australia with Sam Wood even calling her 'highly strung'.

But Daily Mail Australia has uncovered never-before-seen pictures of Emily Simms in some unusual, less ladylike poses.

The 31-year-old gets up close to a handsome male's naked rear end in one snap as she pretends to plant a kiss on his bum cheek.

Multi-tasker: In another snap uncovered by DMA, the straight-talking brunette beauty showed off her rather flexible skills as she impressively did the splits whilst sitting on another male friend's naked shoulders

With one hand on his firm posterior, she kept a firm gaze at the camera while the guy, who looked to be naked apart from a black apron over his crown jewels, had a petrified look across his face.

In another snap uncovered by DMA, the straight-talking brunette beauty showed off her rather flexible skills as she impressively did the splits whilst sitting on another male friend's shoulders.

Wearing a stripy bikini and a straw hat, Emily managed to pull the stance while she drank a bright orange cocktail through a straw.

Emily, who stormed out on Sam Wood on Wednesday night's episode, kept one hand on her half-naked friend's muscular torso for balance.

This fun-loving side of Emily was not shown on the Network Ten hit show and instead she was portrayed as the 'villain', making snide comments about her arch-nemesis Nina Rolleston.

She often taken to social media to do her best to clear her profile, claiming she has been unfavourably edited by The Bachelor's production team.

But Sam Wood disagrees, and told Fox FM's Fifi and Dave on Friday that he thinks the brunette is 'living in denial' if she believes she isn't like her on-screen persona.

Regardless, the 35-year-old added that he hopes she can 'become a better person' for the experience.

'I'm a massive believer that the way the girls are on the show is the way that they are and that comes out,' he told the radio duo in the interview.

'I believe Emily when she said that no one had ever said that to her,' he continued, referring to the frosty exchange between himself and the brunette beauty in which he labelled her as 'highly strung' and 'more glitz and glamour than' he would typically fall for.

^^
Reading that, all I could think was " how perfectly curled Emily's hair is"

ETA: I meant the previous article with Sandra - not the one above!

Just a mildly interesting piece of info - Ebru was on Have you been paying attention and was asked who cooked in the mansion and she said mainly her and Heather.

I saw that. If Heather gets booted the girls are going to starve.

Interesting about the 'mate' and 'dude' comment. I thought the same thing as Sam. Lucky they sorted it and now Heather seems to be, at this stage a frontrunner.

Lol the best think about that article was Laurina's column lol.

Sam's opinions about the girls for example are just an accumulation of things he's said on the show, not comments specifically to the magazine.

And their 'insider' talkng about Snez' aggression? Hello Bec's bro lol

What I do know is that Lana is getting a free ride in the media, even before she was on there.

Hhmm you know even after reading Sam's comments there I still don't think Heather is completely out of the running. Maybe it's just wishful thinking though on my part because I don't want to see Heather get hurt.

"Will Heather get friend-zoned?" seems to be a big theme that's been running for the entire show. They're pushing it, and naturally Sam is only going to comment on what we've seen on the show so far.

For me the way they're editing the show makes it difficult for me to believe that's all there is there. The person on the show whose story they seem to be focussing on is Heather's...probably even more so than Sam's...I have to think there's a reason for that. She was a front runner early on when she got the white rose, then they put emphasis on her falling into the friend zone and other relationships came to the front. Snez became the front runner and now it seems it's Lana...yet through all that it's still Heather's story that they seem to be focussing on. I'll just find the editing and story progression of this season a little strange if she does end up leaving early due to the friend zone thing. Especially now that the audience know she's falling for Sam...they're just going to bring a lot of hate on him from the fanbase when he breaks her heart due to the way they've edited it.

I mean I'm sure we logical fans would cop it sweetly, but you only need to look at the comments on a SM post to realise there's going to be a very big negative reaction torwards Sam if Heather has her heart broken soon.

Try to look at it with them just as two people and ignore all the show and media manip.
I mean that radio video, that was the last bit of proof I needed.
Unless Sam's awkward smile is the same as his regular smile.

I think they've tried to make it perfect after last year's debacle but they sort of made it obvious from like day 1.
And it is usually only subtle at that stage.

Maybe they shouldn't have had the white rose thing?
