Oh that does sound good but I can safely say I've never eaten it.

There is a freddo ice cream cake that is actually so good. Much better than the grown up vienetta or whatever it's called.

its from a local cake shop here - I would LOVE to find a recipe for it but probably good that I can't find one :)

About five years ago I exchanged junk food packages with an American friend. I sent her all sorts of stuff like Vegemite, Twisties, Wagon Wheels and anything else typically Aussie, and she sent me all kinds of weird stuff like salted taffy, Reece's pieces, all different kinds of Hershey bars and bizarre flavours of cola. It was interesting, but I do think our food is much nicer and less out-there.

Reece's peanut butter cups are another thing I don't like. That's given me an idea of what to send to a friend in Oregon. Vegemite. Oh and twisties.
I've had salted taffy. Hm. Our food is much less bizzare. but then, we're used to it. Vegemite is definitely an acquired taste, from weaning.

I love the pb cups. But funny you mention Oregon as you already reminded me of a dear friend of mine today as he was visiting a few years ago and didn't believe me that pollywaffles were real so we hunted one down. I wanted to take him one when I went over last year but there were none to be found.

Oh but I love Vegemite so much. But what self respecting Australian doesn't?

I like it too and am generous with my spreading of it but not too thick.

Man American candy in general is just....ick.
Don't get me started on their 'coffee'.

I'd like to see an American pancreas in about 2000 years time.

generally look great ... either have no taste at all or so bad you want to spit them out but can't ...
 
Thanks for nothing first 'nothing happened' police officer! I spoke to another one in the lift and I asked is everyone behaving themself.

He answered some are, some aren't.

It's a dead body apparently, from non police building sources!

I'm calling for character references!

I love y'all but I hate what you eat - how can you eat all that crap chocolate and caramel!! (Just proved someone's point. I can only eat dark chocolate really. The darker the better. Take OUT the sugar!). But I do totally agree about Vegemite. I'm getting a friend to bring some over. The last lot was confiscated at the airport, I didn't realise it was a 'liquid'!
