Are you a big beegees fan?
Not really. Don't mind some of their songs though. I went to a short training course once and the trainer looked just like Barry Gibb. Between ourselves we had a competition over an entire day to see who could subtly slip the most BG song titles into their presentations for the day. Very funny and difficult to keep a straight face. Do you like the BEEGEES?

Yes, that does sound quite amusing.

As for me, I do not like the BEEGEES. They are no Tina Arena.

well the red wine was right in front of me and the milk is downstairs in the fridge and would require negotiating past loungeroom with a Wallaby supporter getting a little angry at Quade Cooper and whoever the idiot was who included him back in the team ... and since I'm the enemy All Black supporter - I'm safer up here for the moment

... just until reality has the chance to sink in once again and he calms down and just accepts that the All Black's will hold on to the Bledisloe Cup once again :)

(i'm just kidding - I'm perfectly ok going downstairs - we've been married 30 years - he's used to it!!! )

LOL Having Chilli and Garlic Pizza here - got the Red Wine ;)

I went out and got the stuff to make the pizza whilst the game was on/

Living with a All Blacks supporter, as an Aussie (reverse roles) can be very overbearing, whilst Rugby games are in progress :)

Yes i know so since hes really interested in the game i sing the national anthem and watch the haka ... give him a bit of a rev and then leave him in peace ... I was over in NZ last weekend visiting mum so he missed his very rare chance of gloating ... oh well ... next time ;)

(Because it works on just so many levels.)

Ugh does anyone else here live in an apartment?

My upstairs neighbors is driving me bonkers. She keeps vacuuming and moving furniture at really weird hours, which she is free to do in her own home I guess, but it's not very mindful of communial type of living. But now I keep getting woken up to her making really loud sex noises at around 3am on week nights, not cool. Again, she can do what she wants, but I don't want to hear that!!

Also, the sweet little girl in the unit right next door has been playing recorder all day long, really badly too. Bloody hell.

So I have an 8 week old kitten, I know some of you are cat people, any advice?
I'm sleep deprived already, she decides its party time at 2am.

It's a long time since mine were kittens, but I think tough love is important. Whatever they do at kitten stage will carry over into every stage of their lives, so it's important to introduce discipline. In your case it probably just means closing your bedroom door at the kitten's designated bedtime and ignoring the pitiful cries for attention until the morning. As long as the kitten has their own place to sleep, it won't harm them, it will soon learn the rules. My cats know when their bedtime is, and don't ask to be let out until the morning.
Alternatively you can give in to every cry and cuddle the kitten all night, at the expense of your sleep, and resulting in a spoiled rotten demanding cat (which they all are to some degree, but there need to be limits).
And enjoy it, kittens are adorable!

Haha yes I finally did this last night and it wasn't too hard.
Also I've been playing with her heaps so she'll be tired when I am.
And when she goes to attack me I get her favourite toy, that poor purple fish cops it!
You're right though I don't want her too spoilt, she's fussed over enough!!
Not from me sorry but, ummm, cute! Is she tiny? You should definitely post pics.

I am pretty desperate for a cat at this stage, I am a surrogate cat owner anywhere and everywhere possible.
Haha yes she's so small I have been waiting a few years for a cat, definitely endorse.
Here's a quick one, she's never still enough to take decent pics!

Oh so cute!! Even more clucky now. Well for a cat anyway.

Haha thanks guys. I also figured out putting the TV on a timer stops her meowing at my door.
Favourite thing about cats is the purring so cute!

I am an apartment dweller but I live on the top floor. I hear a squeaky door in next door's bedroom from time to time but that's not a bother. Downstairs I can hear the tv and the toilet flushing. Slamming doors, either the main door downstairs and across the hall are what annoy me most. I used to have a neighbour who I could hear vomit when he was drunk and yes, I've heard many sounds of sex from my building and once from the building next door mid morning.
You have the right to ask your upstairs neighbour to keep the volume down on all activities. She may not know she's being heard. You can also get in touch with the body corporate or agent or landlord if she doesn't comply. One of the flats in my building is owned by the Department of Human Services and I have had to get in touch with the body corporate about the current tenants and their lack of keys and all of the other tenants in the building being buzzed at all hours to let them in. Unfortunately, the pitfalls of communal living leave a dark spot on the joys of inner city living. Mind you, hearing sex noises always makes me laugh.
